Easier said than done, right? It's so easy to give up on your dreams when you don't see a return on your investment, or see any progress on a project you've started. Been there, done that, and can write a post about it! 🙂
We live in a "microwave" society, meaning we want everything instantly. Real life doesn't work that way. It's more than frustrating to have to wait, especially when you feel know in your heart of hearts that what you have planned is great, and it's going to change the world. You want everyone to know about your project, open up their wallets and provide all the support you need. You pray and ask God to open up the "blessing box" and give you everything that you've prayed for.
But you wait. And then you wait some more. A little glimmer of hope comes along in the form of a kind word, a social media share, a small donation and you get excited, believing that you're about to kick the door in. You're giddy and excited and praising God for answering your prayers. And then comes the silence. Days, months, years and nothing much happens. It breaks you down; defeat and sorrow etched in your face, displayed in the droop of your shoulders.
You cry out to God and ask why. You yell, curse and possibly even question your worth and then you give up. You don't want to try anymore, so you dig up in doubt what you planted in faith.
Let me be the one to encourage you! Don't give up. Don't dig up. Dig a little deeper. Plant more seeds. Continually water those seeds. Keep the faith!
