Date with a Surprise

Your POV

Over these next few days, Jack seemed more distant from me. He barely talked with me and I've been feeling lonely. That night I was in my room reading a book when I heard a knock on the door. I opened it to reveal Jack holding four orange flowers and wearing a black bow tie? 

"Jack? What's with the bow tie and the flowers?"

"I thought since we're boyfriend/girlfriend that we needed what humans call a..."

He looked at his hand which held a slip of paper. "A..uh...date! Yes a date!"

"Are you asking me out?"

His eyes looked left then right. He must have figured out what I meant and then he nodded. "Is that why you're wearing that fancy getup?"

"Yep."
"Let's go!"

He held out his arm like a gentleman. I took it and he rushed downstairs, tugging me behind him. When we arrived at our "date" I saw it was his Carnival. He gave a smile and said "Welcome to our date place!"

Before I could answer we were skipping inside to the magicalness of Laughing Jack's carnival. We played games, ate candy, and rode rides. When the moon came up he took me on the Ferris Wheel, covering us up with a black and white stripped blanket. It went around a few times before stopping at the very top. The sight was beautiful; the Moon shining down on us and the carnival lights made the scene seem magical.

Laughing Jack's POV

I stared into y/n's eyes, seeing the moonlight make her eyes shine brighter than before. While she was staring up at the Moon, I took a peek at the little box that hid under the blanket. A smile spread on my face. It was time to bestow the gift.

Your POV

I felt Jack's claws reach over and touch my hand. I looked at him to find a smile spread on his black lips. "Y/n, we have been through many adventures together. Whether they be ups or downs, I still enjoyed our time together. Through those times, I wanted to be there for you. Whether it be a shoulder for you to cry on or to protect you, I wanted to be there for you. I hope you understand and feel the same for me as I bestow my love to you."

He pulled out a small box and opened it. Inside lay a ring made out of hardened candy that was black and white. I gasped. "Will you marry me and go through more crazy adventures?"

"I DO!"

I hugged him, nearly tipping us forward in our cart. He placed the ring on my finger and I felt a new feeling. A feeling that whatever came our way Jack and I would be okay. Jack would make everything better for me and I would make everything better for him. He was the frosting to my cake, the butter to my peanut,  he was the value of my life.

Laughing Jack's POV

I was so excited! Y/n and I were engaged! My life was completed! She was the sweetness to my candy, the white strips to my black stripes, she was going to make my life more exciting. Together we would kill merciless children, and of course have many adventures together. If I would die right now, I would die a happy clown knowing that y/n had said yes to marrying me.

Your POV

The cart returned to the bottom and Jack and I got off. We started walking towards Slender Mansion when Jack started kissing me. I wrapped my arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. The moonlight shown our dark figures as the kiss ended. "Hey, Jack."

"Yeah, y/n?"

"How about you climb on my back and we can fly back to Slender Mansion. I tell you the sky is more beautiful up in the clouds."

"Alright."

He climbed on, wrapping his arms around me carefully. "Ready?"

"Yep."

"Hang on!"

I thrust up into the air, the wind picking at my hair. I felt Jack's grip get a bit tighter but once he got used to it he relaxed. We landed in the Mansion's yard a few minutes later and gave each other one last kiss before parting to go to sleep.
