Austin's POV
"Trish, please. No more dates." I say, walking into the Sonic Boom music shop. My latina friend hurried along behind.
"Oh come on, Austin! This one won't fail I promise!" she calls.
I roll my eyes and hopped up onto the counter. I sit down and face towards my friend.
"Trish, you really don't have to keep doing this for me."
This has been going on for weeks now. My friend Trish has been setting me up on blind dates. She thinks it'd be fun for me to finally be in a relationship. I've dated a chunk of girls in my life. Never have I had a solid one.
"Austin, c'mon. I promise this'll be a good one. She's a great person!" she claims, leaning on the counter.
"Yeah, you said the same thing about the last three girls you tried to set me up with." I argue.
"Okay, I admit. The last girls you went out with weren't that great. But I can promise you, you'll love this girl." she smiles.
"Oh really?" I say. "What's her name?"
She opened her mouth to speak, but I heard another voice from behind me.
"Oh! Hey guys!" I turn around to see my other best friend, Ally Dawson. I instantly smile at her presence. She's the light of my day every time I see her.
"Hey Ally!" I say jumping down beside her. I casualy draped my arm around her shoulders and lean up against her. Ally and I close friends, so it never bothered us if we acted close around each other.
"Ally, will you please convince Austin to let me set him up on one more blind date." Trish whines.
I looked down at Ally, who smiled up at me.
"Why don't you wanna go on another date?" she asks. There was no interest in her voice what so ever, so she's obviously just asking because Trish told her to.
"Because, aside from all of the other attempts not working out, I just really don't think I want to keep trying if every relationship I get into fails." I admit. Ally gave me a sympathetic smile.
"I know all of the girls you've dated in the past didn't work out like you wanted them to. But that doesn't mean all girls are like that. I known you'll find someone who will appreciate you for who you are. And maybe this could be your chance to find her. " Ally explained.
This is why Ally is my best friend. I smiled, then squeeze her closer to me in a side hug.
"Thanks Ally." I say with a smile. I turn back to Trish. "Okay Trish. I'll give you another chance." I said. She grinned and squealed in excitement.
"Yes! Thank you, Austin! I promise you're going to love her!" She said. And with that, she ran out of Sonic Boom.
"So," I hear Ally say. "What's the lucky girl's name?" she asks. I freeze.
"Aw man. Trish never answered that question. I had asked her before, but she never answered."
Ally nodded her head in understanding. She then began to push me out from behind the counter.
"Okay Austin. I'd love for you to hang and chat all day long, but I need to work." she states. I playfully pout.
"But I wanna stay here with you!" I whine. Ally giggled.
"You and I can hang some other time!" she said. I rolled my eyes.
"Fiinnee." I say. She laughed.
"I'll text you later. Promise." she says truthfully. I gave her a smile, then grabbed her wrist before she could walk away. I leaned down and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
