Ally's POV:
I rode in the awkward silence of the bus. I was the last one on. I leaned my head against the cold glass window. My heart was aching. My, so called, "best friend" and I, just recently had a fight. My "best friend's" name is Austin Moon. I don't even remember what we were fighting about. Just something little, and it grew and grew. School had just ended a little bit ago. Usually Austin would ride the bus home with me, since we only live down the street from each other. But he was walking instead. Which didn't bother me at all... Okay... maybe I do kind of feel bad. But still, I don't want him to think I'm the weaker one. I watched out the window as I see the bus turn down the street.... The wrong street. What is he doing? This bus driver knows where I live. This is not my street. I sat up a little straighter and peeked my head down the skinny isle. I looked up into the mirror above the driver. He had a smirk on his face with his eyes still locked on the now bumpy road. The sight sent uncomfortable shivers down my spine. My heart was starting to beat faster. Um... where the heck is he going!? I didn't even know this road existed! The road was now entirely made of small rocks, which caused the bus to wobble up and down. I scooted back into my seat and looked out my own window. We were heading straight for a lake! Literally! This small path he was driving down was driving down towards the a lake! Before I could say anything, I heard the bus doors screech open. My head jerked up towards them. I then saw the bus driver jump up out of his seat, run over to the doors, and hop out. My jaw dropped open. I sat there in shock. I bolted up out of my seat and stumbled my way down to the door. But all of a sudden, my eyes traveled to the front window, allowing me to see that the bus had just dove head first into the lake. It jerked me forward, making me fall to the ground. I felt the bus continue to move. My head hit the edge of the seat, causing me to feel dizzy. I looked up at lathe windows. The bus kept sinking deeper and deeper into the water. How deep is this lake!? I finally got up on my feet again. I looked around. The bus... was entirely... underwater... My heart was beating so fast I thought it might explode right out of my chest. Suddenly, I heard a cracking noise. I looked behind me, to see that the windows were starting to crack open. Water started to pour through the windows and into the bus. My eyes widened. I ran to the front of the bus, hoping to stay away from it. But just as I reached the front... WOOSH!! The front window cracked open and spat water all over me, now leaving me drenched. But that didn't matter right now. What matter was... I'M GONNA DIE IN A MATTER OF MINUTES!!! The bus was filling up more and more by the minute. The water was now up to the top part of the bus seats. I literally swam around, trying to find an exit. I couldn't budge the lever for the front doors, and the back emergency exit was jammed. What kind of bus is this!? More and more windows were cracking in, allowing the water to flow in with no care at all. Soon, the water was almost up to the ceiling. I stuck my head up there and held it as high as I could. I took as many deep breaths as I could, because some part of me said, that they would be my last. Suddenly, the water rose so high, that I needed to take a deep breath, and dive underwater. The bus was entirely full. I opened my eyes and looked around. I figured, this is it. It's all over. No saying goodbye to anyone, because no one knows that I'm being drowned in a bus... I guess I spoke too soon.
