Third pov

Kaito walked to school and saw Rantaro and Shuichi with no Kokichi..? He walked up to them "hey bros! Have you seen Kokichi?" Kaito asked and they both sighed "w-well about that um.." Shuichi said obviously confused on what to say so Rantaro sighed and explained it. Kaitos smile immediately dropped "w-what..?" Kaito looked as if he was in the verge of tears "i-it turns out he's had multiple diseases and sicknesses through his life and he had medications for all of them." Shuichi explained and kaito started crying after tryingbhsi hardest not to, shoichi and Rantaro hugged him "you'll come with us to visit him after school.." "technically just Rantaro since I'm working.." Kaito chuckled and nodded wiping his tears off. "L-lets got to *sniff* c-class." And with that they all walked to class but Kaito could only focus on if Kokichi was alright.

At lunch Kaito texted Kokichi

Me: I'm sorry I never noticed I love you so much.💕💕

He didn't know if he expected a response but he still smiled thinking of what Kokichi would respond with. He smiled and realized the ring and hurried to his next classes.

Kaito POV

Rantaro and I started walking to the hospital, it took a while but we soon got there. We asked which room yadayada. When we got up there we knocked on the door and Shuichi opened the door a crack "oh! Guys you're here right in time..he finally woke back up." Shuichi smiled and opened the door all the way. Kaito looked at Kokichi who looked horrible "wheres his mom?" Rantaro whispered to Shuichi "she works later than visiting hours." Shuichi sighed. I went over to him and Kokichi looked at me and smiled hugging me "kaito..!" He quietly yelled his voice sound hoarse"oh Kichi are you alright..?" I asked and felt him shake his head a bit "I-I hurt.." Kokichi mumbled "I'm sorry Kokichi..you'll feel better in a second. T-the pain killers aren't very fast." Shuichi said as he cleaned up a bit.

"Its fine s-shuichi..!" Kokichi smiled and I sighed and let go of him. "Y-you could've told me.." I said my voice cracking a bit "i-i know I just....d-didnt want to be a burden.." Kokichi sighed and I frowned "you aren't a burden.." "Kaitos right.." Rantaro and Shuichi said backing me up.

"R-right.." Kokichi sighed "Kokichi I'll be back her tonight if you need something you know what to do" "r-right.." Shuichi and Rantaro left. "Kokichi you know I love you....right..?" I asked and he nodded and kissed me and i kissed back, when we pulled away Kokichi smiled "I d-dont care if i-im not aloud t-to do that" Kokichi giggled quietly and kissed my cheek "sounds like my Kokichi.."

Third POV

After a bit Kokichi started to feel sick and tried to push the feeling down but it soon became to much and he threw up and Kaito started panicking and ran out of the room "h-he needs a doctor! Please help!" He yelled into the hallway tears pricking his eyes and Shuichi and another nurse ran into Kokichi's room to him coughing blood. Kaito sat on the floor trembling. Rantaro ran over to see the ruckus and looked down at Kaito "hey bud itll be alright.." Rantaro said kneeling in front of Kaito "b-but I dont u-understand why this i-is happening to h-him..hes done n-nothing wrong to d-deserve this.." he said his voice cracking "I understand but he'll be alright.." "r-right I'm just s-scared" kaito sighed and they sat there until the nurses told them to leave and come back tomorrow.

"Oh! Kaito dear your!- what's wrong sweet heart..?" Kaitos grandma asked walking up to kaito and wiping his tears "k-kokichi is in the h-hospital sick a-and I-" he broke down and his grandmother hugged him "I'm sorry sweetie.."
