My faith diminishes, day by day.
As I see a rampage of opposing hearts collide, creating new chaos.
Shades of skin seeking combat,
fighting for the right
to be seen, to be heard, to be accepted.
Why can’t we focus?
Not on our appearance, our flesh,
the diversity of our reflections.
But what we all harbor beneath?
The essence of magic that
keeps us all alive, the golden light
that wants to shine, beyond this
ongoing hatred and desire to destruct.
We are setting our own traps,
becoming our own downfall.
We are blinded by our own fallacies,
hurtling towards a future of ruin.
Humanity is entering a new era,
the era of dynamite,
fate is in our own hands,
we hold the match,
we write our own history.
Will we choose peace,
or choose to watch
the world we know
turn to ash?
