Nezuko's P.O.V

Something's not right.

I can see the lingering fogs of blood.

Blood?!

No... No, no, no.

Please, let them be alive.

Please let this blood be the intruder's, and not their's!

I rushed up the mountain and took in the horrible scene before me.

Mom. Tanjiro. Tocho. Takeo. Hanako. Shigeru. Rokuta.

They were all bloodied and lying motionless on the ground.

I fell to my knees.

Guilt.

That's all I felt.

I crawled over to Tocho, who was the closest to me, and inspected him.

He was motionless, his swords stained with blood.

He must've brought down the intruder along with himself.

I checked the bodies of everyone else.

All fatally wounded.

"Ne... zuko..."

I turned around, frightened that my ears might've been playing tricks on me.

And there he was.

Tocho, struggling to get up from his sitting position.

"Tocho!" I ran over to him, tears freely flowing from my eyes, and helped him to stand.

"I'm sorry... Nezuko... I couldn't protect them." He muttered sadly.

"It's alright, Tocho. You tried your best." I assured him.

He then looked over to all the other bodies.

He suddenly tensed.

"One of them is still breathing."

I immediately perked up, and scanned the bodies for any sign of warmth, and I then realized...

Tanjiro was still alive.

"It's Tanjiro!"

I carried him on my back and ran down the mountain with him.

Tocho stumbled along.

"Nezuko, listen, we were attacked by a demon, Tanjiro and I, we're lucky to be alive." He told me.

"A demon?! How did you survive?" I asked.

"I don't know! Tanjiro and I both received fatal blows, we should be dead!"

"I mean, I'm not complaining..." I muttered, I'm happy that my brothers are alive.

We slid down slopes and ran off cliffs, but then Tocho lost his balance and fell off the side of the cliff.

Tanjiro on my back suddenly became agitated.

Wait, he's awake?

However, his shaking around also knocked me off as well.

I laid in the snow, face up.

'The snow saved me.' I thought.

I got up at the very thought of Tanjiro getting hurt.

I immediately got up and looked around for him.

He was standing up, his green and black haori fluttering in the wind.
