Recap:

I look across the table and I see Alex looking down worried. I sigh and lean back in my chair when I feel my phone buzz. I pull it out of my jacket and see the name of a person I did not expect a call from. "Excuse me for a minute," I say to the girls and I walk out the restaurant.

"Why are you call-," but then I get cut off.

"Y/N needs help," the person says frantically.

My eyes widen and I rush into the restaurant, "Send me her location."

"I just did, I'm on my way to her now," they say and then hang up.

"Guys, we gotta go," I say catching everyone's attention, "It's Y/N."

Present

Y/N's POV:

As I am trying to control my breathing the person I called appears in front of me. "Hope," I say as I shakily reach my arms out towards her.

"I'm here, I'm here," Hope says as she takes me into her arms and sits down with her back against the wall.

Let me tell you something about Hope and I, when I joined the USWNT in 2010, Hope was the one that took me under her wing. I know I said Cheney was always there for me, but Hope took me in like I was her daughter, she took care of me. When the whole thing happened in 2016 with the Olympics and the U.S. Soccer Federation, I was devastated. I acted the same as I did when Alex left me.

Hope starts to rub my back and tightens her hold on me. "I missed you," I tell Hope quietly as my breathing starts to calm down.

"I missed you too," Hope tells me, we haven't seen each other since the wedding.

I close my eyes and start to fall asleep in Hope's embrace. I'm almost asleep until I hear multiple footsteps quickly coming towards Hope and I. Not having any energy left in me, I keep my eyes closed. "Hope," I hear multiple people say shocked.

"Hey, guys," Hope says as she stand with me in her arms.

"What happened," I hear I think Julie asks.

Then I hear the most beautiful voice ever, "She saw her dad today and they talked and it obviously didn't go to well," Alex says.

I feel Hope shift a little, "Is it ok if I come with you guys? I know some-," but she gets cut off.

"We all really missed you Hope," I hear Kelley say, "Even the young ones. They have been wanting to meet you for a while."

Hope chuckles, "I missed you all too. Now let's get back to the hotel."

I feel Hope start to walk and I open my eyes slightly. Hope looks down at me, "Hey," she says.

"Hi," I reply and everyone looks at me once they hear me.

"Hey, baby," I hear Alex say besides Hope.

"Hi, beautiful," I say and yawn after.

The team chuckles as I close my eyes and cuddle further into Hope's embrace.

After a few minutes I hear Kelley, "I'm gonna get Jill and tell her what happened before she comes out."

I open my eyes as Hope sits down. I see Alex sit down next to her and I reach my arms out for her. Alex and Hope laugh and Alex takes me into her arms.

While I'm in Alex's arms Jill walks into the lobby. "Hi, Hope," she says with a smile.

"Hey, Jill," Hope says smiling back.
