chapter 10

( Test 6)

POV Raylynn

( October 9th)

     "And in second place, Bluff Hills." The announcer says we all cheer, and hug. After the finals awards we load the busses and start the four hour drive back. Once we're on our  bus we take off our make up and most of us take a nap.

     "Ray Kris wake up, were here." Calli says to us gently shaking us.  I sit up and see the front of the school. Once we're all up they let us of the bus and tell us to unload before going home. After unloading we all meet at Calli's and Hattie's cars. "Hattie, you Lynn and Kris take your car, and me, Liz and Laya, will take mine." Calli tells us, Hattie gives her a tired smile and we all get in and head to Calli and Kris's house.

     We get to the house and all tiredly walk in carrying our stuff. "Is it just me or is anybody else, like starving." Sayla say setting her stuff down and going to the kitchen.

     "No, I'm starving to." Liz says gently rubbing her stomach. "I swear this baby is never not hungry." Liz adds with a laugh as she also heads to the kitchen.

     "There's a bunch of microwave meals in the freezer, just don't eat all the salisbury steak, cupcake is craving them." Calli says, adding a little belly rub on the last part. We all give her a little laugh as she sends Kris a glare for grabbing one. After we all pick out the meals we want we sit in the living room. "So do you think you're pregnant yet, Ray?" Calli ask me, before taking a bite of food.

     "I'm not sure I'm late but I haven't took a test yet." I say, before talking a bite of corn. They all look at me with grins and expecting eyes. "What?" I laugh after a bit of silence.

     "Go take, one." Laya say excitedly, pointing towards the bathroom. I give a little laugh thinking their joking a bit but their not. "Seriously go take one their in the bathroom top drawer." Sayla say after a minute.

     "Their in a tampon box." Calli adds with a little smile. I roll my eyes and get up heading to the bathroom knowing I won't win an argument. I fill the little cup and pull out a test I unwrap it and set it on the counter.

     "Okay I took it now we just have to wait." I say as I open the door and sit back down and grabbing my food from Kris.

     "So, Calli what happened between you and Chad?" Kris asked turning towards Calli.

     Calli laughs and takes another bite before talking. "Well he was mad at me for texting him that I was pregnant and then ignoring him all last week. So after we ate lunch he asked me if it was true witch I said yes, then he wanted to talk to me without Jason which, then Jason said absolutely not, and I agreed with him. Chad then asked me my plan, and how far along I was, and told me that I'm absolutely not aloud to have an abortion. Which I replied with I plan to keep it, and I'm not sure how far along I am and that I would never have an abortion." She paused to take a bite before continuing. "Then he was like while I want to be there for you and, you can't stop me, which I replied with I want you to be there for your kid but this isn't three strikes you're out this is one fuck up and you're done, which he of course got a little pissy about but I told him that those were my rules. He finally agreed and asked me about doctors appointments, and I told him that I have one in two weeks and if he wants he can come with us, which pissed him off that Jason was going, and I told him that of course he's going and that if had a problem with it he didn't have to come, but he of course said yes." She finished, and took another bite. "Well that was about it, wanna watch a movie?" She asked, we all agreed, completely forgetting about the test. After a few minutes Calli picks Juno, because it's relatable.

     "So what's up with you and your baby daddy?" Hattie ask me about half way through the movie, Calli pauses it and all attention on me.

     "Oh, um........ were not really seeing each other anymore, although we were never really dating, it was really just sex, we still talk a little bit but I told him I'm not on the pill anymore because it was messing with my cycle he said he still wants to do it, and we can use the pull out method, but I said maybe, so we don't talk much anymore." I said telling all that's happened with us, they nod and then we go back to the movie.

     "Juno is so brave." Liz says as she opens up a candy bar. we finish the movie after 30 minutes. "Hey we never looked at your test" Liz says remembering.

     "Huh, guess not." I say before getting up to go look, all of them following me to the bathroom. I pick up the test my eyes closed. " Okay and the test is...... Positive" I say as I open my eyes reading it happily.  "Guys I'm pregnant." Cheer, happily as the hug me.

      "Wanna go get some ice cream?" Calli ask smiling as we exit the bathroom.

     "From where it's like one in the morning." Hattie ask her.

     "From Walmart of course their open 24 hours again remember." Calli says as she puts on some shoes. " I'm going are y'all coming with?" She ask us, we all nod and grab our shoes and hoodies and head to her car. We all hop in and drive to Walmart, once we get there we all have our shoes on and we head in. We get ice cream and chocolate, and strawberries, Along with a bunch of other junk food. We finally check out and head back to the house. We carry all the food in and we watch a movie and eat a lot of food.  It's almost three in the morning and we start to head to bed. Calli and Hattie in Calli's bed, Sayla, and Liz in the guest bed, and me and Kris in her bed. I grab some clothes and go to take a shower, as I feel gross.

     I hop in shower letting the warm water roll off my back, I can't believe I'm really pregnant I put my hand on my stomach. "I'm going to love you forever." I whisper sweetly to my baby.
