chapter 16

POV Kris

(November 25)
It's been a little over a month since my whole hospital trip scare, and today is Thanksgiving. We're all at a hotel right now visiting mine and callie's grandparents, including Laya, Liz and Meghan plus Jay, Mike, Carson and Mikey. The five of us girls were all in one room which is a little crazy as we're all very hormonal. Then all the boys were in the room across from our. It's about 7:30 AM and we have to be there at nine o'clock. We all get up as Meghan gets out of the shower, callie quickly rushes to the restroom all of us right behind her. After we all use the restroom Laya hops in a quick shower while callie does her hair and Meghan, Liz and I do our makeup. After about five minutes Laya comes out of the bathroom in a maroon sweater dress that hugs her small bump beautifully. "Calli can you do my hair please?" Laya ask sweetly her wet hair laying messily down her back, Calli simply laughs, giving her a nod.

"I'll do your makeup for you." Meghan offers her as well, with Sayla answers with a nod and a grateful smile. Laya sits in a chair in front of Meghan as Calli stands behind her and works on her hair. After about 15 minutes we were all ready to go.

Laya was in her maroon sweater dress that had long sleeves and went a little above her knee, she paired it with a jean jacket with black lace, long black socks and knee high boots. Her now almost four month bump small but very prominent in her tight dress. Calli had braided half her hair up in two braids wrapping around to the back of her head the rest other hair cascading down her back in lose beach curls. Meghan had done light makeup with a red and orange eye shadow and a natural lip.

Lizza was in black pregnancy leggings with a long yellow tshirt her small bump barely showing under her top, she paired it with some sparkly yellow flats, and a black leather jacket. She had put her long blonde hair in a high ponytail with its natural curls and two pieces framing her face in the front. She did light natural makeup with a light pink lip gloss and a light gold eyeshadow with a small winged eyeliner.

Meghan was in a dark red, soft overall dress over a white long sleeve shirt, with white pregnancy leggings, her five month bump easily noticeable from the side, she paired it with brown uggs and a black leather backpack. Her short pink hair in loose curls down in a side part to the left. She did a natural makeup with a bold dark red lip and a light red eyeshadow with a winged eyeliner.

Calli was in a flowy orange v-neck dress that goes a little above her knee,her bump just barely showing, she paired it with white lace up flats that go to the bottom of her knee, and a washed out jean jacket. Her hair braided up into high pigtails on either side of her head her curls falling just under her shoulder. She did light makeup with a simple lip gloss and a light gold eyeshadow.

As for me I wore a black and white plaid dress that was tight till the waist then flowed out a little, with black fishnets, I paired it with black combat boots, my black leather jacket, and a black belt one the waist line right above my bump making it a bit more obvious. My short brown and green hair in two French braids going all the way back with two pieces in the front framing my face. For makeup I did a light makeup with black lipstick and a dark eye look with winged eyeliner.

Just as we were about to leave the boys knock on our door, and callie let's them in. They were all in jeans and nice dress shirts that matched their girlfriends outfits. Carson was in a maroon long sleeve button up, Jay was in a dark orange long sleeve button up, Mike was in a black one, and Mikey was in a yellow one. It's about 8:15 so we decided to go to Starbucks first which was about five minutes away.

"Okay so Jay, Meg, Laya,Carson, and I will take my car since it has a bit more room, and then the rest of you in Kris's car." Calli says before we leave the room, we all give her a nod and leave. Once we get in the car we leave and I follow Calli,as she knows her way better than me. I turn on the radio as I drive Mike's hand on my stomach protectively. We finally get to Starbucks and we all go in together to order. As we walk in the girls at the desk give us smiles. One girl looked in her late twenties with blonde hair and a really smile, her name tag read Violet. While the other girl had light brown hair and judgmental eyes as she looked at us, she looked in her teens and her name tag said Bethany.

"Hi welcome to Starbucks can I help you today." Violet says sweetly as she stands at her register.

"Hi we have one big order is that okay?" Calli ask nervously, fiddling with her fingers.

"Yeah that's fine it may be a bit of a longer wait tho I hope that's okay." Violet says sweetly to Calli, Calli smiles and gives her a nod. We all tell her what we want to drink. After we are all done ordering we sit down and wait as she calls name for our drinks. Calli and I go up together when Bethany calls both of us.

She eyes us up and down her eyes catching on our bumps. "Should you really be drinking coffee in your..... condition." She says disapprovingly, as she handed Calli her drink, disgust dripping of the word condition. I can see calli's smile fall a bit as she grabs her drink, before going back to sit down. I give Bethany a glare before going back to my group with my drink. Calli wrapped in Jay's arms sadly tears on the brim of her eyes. After a few seconds Violet comes over with a cookie in her hand.

"He sweetie I heard what Bethany said and I can promise you she's been reprimand, are you okay I brought you a cookie on the house." Violet says handing Calli the cookie which Calli sits up for happily. "How far along are you guys?" Violet ask us all with a sweet smile.

"Well me, Kris, and Liza are all three months, and then Laya is four months, and Meghan is five months." Calli said happily as she pointed to each of us. After we finished talking to her we all leave and head to our grandparents house. It's about 8:45 and we're only ten minutes away so we'll be right on time. I take a sip of my macha frappe as I drive the radio playing, somebody that I use to know by Gotye. I sing along to the song as I turn on to the road to the house. I see the house come in view a smile never cease to appear as I see the house I always get a warm sense of safety. I pull in to the big driveway and park next to Calli we all get out of the cars.

"You ready?" Calli ask me referring to our family who are most definitely going to start shit about our pregnancies.

"As ever." I reply with a smirk as we head to the door. Jay's arms protectively around Calli as they enter. Mike gives me a small kiss before we walk in Liz, Mikey, Meghan,Laya and Carson behind us.

"Calli, Kris, Mike, and I'm guessing you're Jason." My grandma greets us, with a warm smile and hug. "Liz, Mikey it seems like forever since I've seen you." Grandma beams pulling them in to a hug. "Oh my is that Meghan wow it's been a while sweetie tell markus I say hi." Grandma says sincerely as she hugged Meghan with a little laugh. "Sayla, Carson it's been a bit I'm glad to see you again." Grandma says ending her greeting after she hugged us all, with a few bump rubs in between. We go downstairs where most of the cousins and kids we're.

"Calli, Kris hey." Our cousin adeline greets us look at as searchingly stopping at our bumps a smile sliding across her face. "Wow its really true you guys are pregnant I just couldn't believe it." She says with a little laugh before giving us hugs. "Can I uh feel?" She ask a little awkwardly me and Cali both give a nod with a little chuckle, she places one hand on each of our bumps.

After she finishes rubbing our bellies all of us go and sit down with the rest of the family. Mine and Calli's older sister, Caitlin comes down stairs with our 4 year old niece,3 year old nephew and 3 month old nephew. My niece Ally runs to Calli, whose sitting on the floor by the couch, and plops her self into her lap with a giggle. While my nephew Franklin runs to me and climbs up into my lap. Our sister gives us a smile and sits next to Adeline who happily takes Jameson out Caitlin's arms.

It's now ten o'clock at night, we've been here for a bit over twelve hours. We give everyone our goodbyes and head back to our hotel. We get there about twenty minutes later and all head to our rooms. We all take off our makeup and get ready for bed. After we're all ready the boys come into our house and we watch, Anger management. By the time the movie was over Laya, and Liz were asleep the boys went back to their rooms and we all just went to sleep.
