"Who's this?" Bruce stormed in, reaching for his belt.

"They claim to be from the future." Conner stated.

Bruce didn't like the look of this, he glared at the four. "Who are you?"

The muscular one couighed. "Jesus, he looks young." The four seemed dissaticefied; the youngest looked perfectly disgusted.

Only the eldest acknowledged what he'd said. "Hey, B. Recognise me?" Batman squinted at them suspiciouly. "I'm, uh, him." He gestured sheepishly at Robin.

Bruce followed the line of vision to see his son, sitting on the floor, tears streaming down his cheeks. Kid Flash hovered over him, confused and protective.

"Robin!" He hurried towards the boy.

Dick let out an angry cry and shyed away. "NO!"

Wally sat in front of the boy. "Stay back!"

Bruce practically shoved the redheaded boy aside, approaching his son, he pulled Dick closer.

"STOP!" Dick cried, trying to fight him off; he was hystarical.

"Robin, what happened?" He ordered, his son fighting to get away. He kept Dick close, he might hurt himself if he got away. His son kept kicking and shouting. He turned to the team. "WHAT HAPPENED.?"

"Those assholes keep telling him you're going to abandon him."

"That one said you replace him!" Wally exclaimed.

Batman Glared at the four. "Who are you? What are you trying to accomplish?" He held Dick close against his chest. The boy struggled, but was weakened by emotion. "Why would you say that?"

The four intruders looked extremely uncomfortable. Three of them kept glancing at the eldest.

"Wow, I haven't seen that in a while..." the blue-bird-emblam one commented, frowning. "Not Since..." He glanced at the one with the strip of white hair. "But, yeah, I guess he used to do that a lot..."

"How much?" The seventeen year old one asked.

"all the time." The eldest cringed. "Bats was way over-protective..." He gave a sad glance to the youngest.

"Was." The thirteen-year-old repeated.

Wally was trying desperately to protect the boy, terrified of Bruce, and hurridly explaining everything they said.

Bruce tried to process, forcing his crying protege against him. He didn't have a son. He'd NEVER replace Dick, much less three times! These claims were absurd, and making Richard cry! "Whoever you are, surrender, immidiately."

"Uh, FUCK YOU!"

"JAY!"

"Jesus."

"Not helping us, Todd."

"Okay, listen. We'll surrender if you promise to avenge the death of every Robin..." the agressive one complained.

"Christ!" The teenager groaned, messing with some device in his hands. "Almost done..."

"What is that?" Bruce ordered. "Put it down."

"Hold on... everyone, grab it, let's make this work."

The eldest turned regretfully to Batman. "You better treat Dami right this time." He grabbed the device. There was a flash of light, several shouts, and the four were gone.

Batman called the league.

Dick was crying, cuddled with Wally, his whole world was crumbling around him.

"Shh, Shh, It's gonna be okay..." Wally muttered. "I'm here, I'm not going anywhere. " Dick whined something inccomprihensible. "Maybe he will, maybe he won't. Maybe you leave him.  Maybe he gets another Robin because you move on."

"I don't want to." He whined.

"Maybe you will... but hey, I'm still here! I'll always be here." He brushed the boy's face off his forehead.

"Robin, you need to come with me." Bruce stated.

"NO!"

"Robin-"

"I thought you-" He broke down again.

Bruce reached out, glowered at Wally, and took Dick from him. Lifting the crying, kicking, boy into his arms. In the most reassuring voice he could, he whispered: "I'm taking you home."

"You- I- Hate..." He lost all comprehension.

He dragged his ward to the cave, removing their masks. "Dickie, I'd never get rid of you, chum. I'm going to protect you. I promise." Dick stopped fighting, he let his body go limp, tears glowing from his red eyes. "Do you need anything to eat?" Dick shook his head, lying. "Okay, I'm going to take you to your rom, okay?"

Bruce carried the boy to his room, passing Alfred in the hall with a look. He'd explain shortly. He set Dick on his bed, and got the boy a glass of water, setting it on the side table.

He tried to talk, but Dick was silent. Bruce turned to leave him alone. "I love you." He reminded, giving the boy a long look. He shut the door.
