-- I Will Do It! --

Third Person's POV

(Y/N) is patiently waiting for her old headmaster's response on what he will want in exchange for her stay in Hogwarts for the Christmas break, after a few minutes have quickly passed the old man with long silver locks has spoken his terms for the request.

"There will be a small Christmas party for the staff and for the students who will be staying here just like you, it seems that it will bore us if we will just simply eat like any other dinner we have done. I would like you sing a song for us, take it as a small performance. I really loved your singing, you have great talent. Also since you will be performing, dress up a little bit.. whatever comforts you will do and please do stay after the performance, you can sit with us so you won't feel out of place.", his eyes twinkles with excitement and happiness.

(Y/N) cannot believe that is it... "Are you sure? That's the only thing you want in return Professor Dumbledore?!", shaking her head slightly while confused.

"Well..", he stopped and thought of something. "Yes? Anything else?", she asks impatiently.

Obviously that is not the only thing, because for her she is asking for too much but she is determined to do anything for her stay. "I will tell you the other favor at the right time.", he smiled. She nodded her head gently and thought of names of songs that she could sing, but there's A LOT that she knows and all of them were sang by muggle singers / celebrities.

"Headmaster? Is there a particular song that you would like me to sing?", she asks.

His head swung 'no' and brought out a piece of parchment along with his quill and ink. "I will write a letter to your parents about the situation, worry not for I will not let them know that I am aware  of what they have done to my precious student. But they will answer to their sins soon, for now take your leave and enjoy the rest of your classes (Y/N).", he sees her to the door and gave a gentle smile as she thanks him before leaving.

The head master sits on his chair and sighs a little bit, "I never thought she was mistreated for a long time. If they knew about this, they will be very disappointed at me for bringer her to that family. I must correct my mistake soon.", then he begins to write.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Burns,

I would like to greet you a wonderful morning and ask how you are doing in this fine day? I will not beat around the bushes now, there is something I would like to tell you about your daughter, she has performed well in her classes and exams and I am eager to mentor her until her final year in Hogwarts, I will personally teach her advanced magic and soon I would like to her to be one of my loyal staff member's apprentice but in order for me to do that is she has to stay here for Christmas Break so she can start early with the advanced classes with me, rest assured she will be safe here in Hogwarts as always.

I am looking forward for your reply.

Hogwarts' Headmaster,

Albus Dumbledore

And with that he rolls the piece of parchment and tied it with a twine, he goes out of his office walking to the owelry, no one actually knows how fast he can travel to one spot to another but his secret is that he don't actually walk but he apparition, within seconds now he has reached the owelry, borrowing an old owl from someone he tied the letter to one foot of a silver owl with golden large eyes, "Kindly send the letter to the Burns family, thank you."

When (Y/N) went out of the headmaster's office as she walks down the stairs to the hallways she accidentally bump into a person, she stumble backwards and was caught by the floor. Looking up to the person, "I'm sorry..", she says as she apologize to a fashionable man with wavy/curly golden locks. He helps her stand up and tries to brush off the dirt on her clothes, "Pardon me miss, it seems that I am lost also I am very sorry for not paying attention to where I am going.", giving her a big charming smile he could possible pull out.

"I-it's alr-right.", she stutters. Apparently she find him attractive, his beautiful blue eyes, warm and gentle smile and his charming self.

"Do you know where the headmaster's office is?", he shyly asks.

She pointed at the direction and told him where to turn to and what the password is, after that she went to her remaining classes. It was long and boring, it seems that she can't get out of her mind that possible song choices and yet she can't decide and half of her thoughts were captivated by the charming lad she bumped into, wondering now who he is. Lunch arrived and now she's with Harry, Ron and Hermione. She sits beside Harry which is seated beside Ron who is stuffing his mouth with a lot of food and then Hermione is at (Y/N)'s right side sighing at Ron and telling him to eat a bit slower or else he might choke. The four students laughed and ate until they were full, after their lunch they decide to sit near the Black Lake, then (Y/N) stood up quickly getting the trio's attention.

"Everything okay, (Y/N)?", asks Hermione.

"Well.. yeah, kinda.", sheepishly replied as she tuck a small strand of her hair behind her left ear.

"Kinda? Well spit it out.", Ron spurts as Harry hits his arm.

"Well, I won't be going home for Christmas Break, yeah? Dumbledore let me stay but in exchange of something...", she trails off.

"-He wants me to sing in front of people at the party.", she added.

The trio looked at her for a moment when Hermione jumps forward and hugs her, "Really?! You will be singing? I've never heard you sing before."

The two boys agreed and asks what her song choices are. "Actually I have a lot of song choices but I trimmed it down to three, they are all muggle songs though. First one is 'Christmas Love' by Justine Beiber. Second is 'My Grown Up Christmas List' by Kelly Clarkson and lastly is 'Christmas Without You' by OneRepublic.", she said as she and Hermione sits down with the boys.

"Oh they are actually nice song choices, (Y/N)!", Hermione says as the two are confused.

"Right... Mione is the only one familiar with them..", she shyly said as she twirls some lock of her hair.

"Yeah, why don't you sing one for us? It will serves as a demo.", Harry suggests and Ron agrees with him.
