(Y/N)'s POV

"Well of course, that would actually help.", I smiled at Harry who then returned the smile.

I grab my wand from the inside pocket of my robe and looked around to see if there are other students around the area. I cleared my throat before making three flicking movement with my wand on the air and then a small CD player appeared.

"What is that?", Ron asks looking like a curious toddler.

"That Ron is called a CD player, put a CD in it and the audio inside the CD will play.", I say.

I flick another one with my and and then tapped it on the CD player which now has a CD in it, I press the play button and now a melody can be heard and I start to sing

It's almost midnight where you lay your head
But I'm calling numbers, buying plane tickets in bed
Every channel on the TV, "It's A Wonderful Life"
I don't feel so wonderful on this cold winter night

Nervously singing I see my three friends with wide smile and all of their attention is on me as they sway from left to right matching the beat of the melody making me smile more than I ever had.

I missed Thanksgiving, missed a birthday or two
Didn't make St. Valentines, but I was thinkin' of you
Only one thing in the world that I couldn't do
Only one thing could kill me, Christmas without you

Oh, the snow is on the ground
The day's getting colder, I'm coming home now
So go ahead light the fire, turn that Christmas tree on
'Cause I've been missing you so much I wrote you this song, yes, I did

Snowflakes slowly coming down on our heads, shoulders and on our clothes. I slowly let the beat carry my body as I continue on singing for my friends, making me remember lots of good memories with them in it. I close my eyes as I think more of those wonderful memories, trying not to cry in front of them and ruin the moment.

I missed Thanksgiving, missed a birthday or two
Didn't make St. Valentines, but I was thinkin' of you
Only one thing in the world that I couldn't do
Only one thing could kill me, Christmas without you
Only one thing in the world that I couldn't do
Only one thing could kill me, Christmas without you

Third Person's POV

As the three young Gryffindors are enjoying the small performance of their friend, they didn't know that they are not the only ones with their ears getting blessed by a wonderful voice. From a few meters away from where they stood, two men who is lost in the beauty of the sound that they are hearing, one with golden curly locks and one with raven black locks. Both eyed the Slytherin girl with pure affection, the other one accepting the feeling and the other one denying it. The man with the raven hair then looks at the other man that he is accompanying realizes that this man is now captivated by the only girl that has the courage to greet him with full of happiness, the girl who he accidentally kissed the other night.

Oh, the presents wrapped, and "Jingle Bells" on the radio
I'm turning down the street, there's no place I'd rather go
Every holiday, oh, they feel the same
Except for the ones when I'm with you

Knowing that women and girls swoon for this charming lad, he felt somehow intimidated with what may possibly come, as the man still looks at the girl with affection. "She must be popular here.", the man with golden curly locks says as he smiles at the direction of the girl.

"No, she's not. She's invisible to the eyes of the other students except for some dunderheads.", he coolly replied and his attention went back to the singing girl.

He has never heard something so angelic and innocent, "What year is she in?", the man with golden curly locks asks.

"Miss Burns is in her fifth year now.", Snape replies.

"Now, let us continue with your tour Gilderoy, I have wasted a lot of my time just by doing this.", he mocks.

"There, there Severus let us finish listening to her singing first. Miss Burns... lovely name, suits her.", the man named Gilderoy said with a smile on his face admiring the girl.

I missed Thanksgiving, I missed a birthday or two
I didn't make St. Valentines, but I was thinkin' of you
Only one thing in the world that I couldn't do
There's only one thing that kills me
Christmas without you

"Suits her?", Snape asked.

"Yes, because she has burned all away the sadness within my hear with her angelic voice.", he smirks at him.

"What?! She is a student Lockhart and now you are her professor!", he snarled at him with a brow lifted.

Snape cannot believe that Gilderoy Lockhart had openly confessed something ridiculous as that! Obviously Lockhart's motives were very clear for Snape and now he is feeling something uninvited yet very familiar in his chest, heart rather. A feeling of bitterness and a thought of strangling the man in front of him so he will not be able to lay a finger on the girl.

What is he thinking? Strangling a staff member, he must control his emotions, discipline his mind and with that the two men heard the claps of the three other students, they continue walking.
