Day after day, the once gloomy and silent trailer was now filled with never ending laughter and screams. What once was filled with a lonely aura was now filled with an energetic presence of 2 children finally free of the fear they once had. It was now replaced by wide ear-to-ear smiles.
"Come'er!" Toni said with a laugh as she chased a giggling Samuel refusing to bathe.
"Never!" He yelled as he threw his arms up.
The next moment, Samuel didn't know what hit him when he was suddenly lifted off his feat and spun around. He could only giggle more and try to wriggle his way out of their grasps.
"Cheryl! No!" He laughed as she peppered kissed on his face.
"You stink buddy" she said as she jokingly sniffed him and scrunched her nose up.
"No YOU stink" he countered, sticking his tongue out at her.
"Come on Sammy, if you take a bath you get to have 2 cookies!" Toni said, trying to bribe him.
"3!" he said.
"Just two buddy. Then when Betty comes to visit again, we can ask her to get milkshakes k?" Cheryl tried.
"Fine" he said with an exaggerated sigh.
This was how it was everyday. It was honestly entertaining to Toni to see how the three Blossom siblings interacted. She used to be so used to the silence of her trailer before the three redheads came into her life. It was a nice change from the usual meals alone.
Once Sam was finally finished with taking a bath and was dressed, they headed over to the truck she borrowed from Sweetpea. Tonight was the night they were having dinner over at the Cooper-Jones residence.
After Alice was informed of the news that Cheryl and her siblings were alive, she drove over to the trailer to find out of her lost nieces and nephew really were alive. She then offered them a place in her home and invited them for dinner the next day. Once everything was settled, Cheryl and her siblings would be moving in just before started back up for the year.
To say Alice was shocked that there were two more Blossom kids was an understatement. Apparently, nobody knew about them. The only exception being Betty when she accidentally stumbled upon them in the park. Since that day, Betty has been helping feed and take care of the little guys since they never fed them enough. Samuel and Juliet were hidden from the world because Clifford was ashamed of them. He claimed that they weren't Blossom material. Said they were to soft to fulfill their destiny as Blossom heirs.
Once they were finally at the Cooper-Jones residence, they all got out of the truck and walked up to the door with Juliet insisting she press the doorbell. Sammy, ever the loving brother even tried listing her up to reach it. It made Toni's heart clench. Even through the horrors they faced, they still managed to be loving and sweet kids.
"Hey come in" Alice greeted as she as ushered them inside. "It's so great to see you again Cheryl" she said, pulling to older Blossom into a hug as well as the two younger Blossoms.
"You too Aunt Alice" she smiled as they were lead to the dinning room.
Sitting there was FP at the head of the table, to his right was Jughead, next Jug was Jellybean, followed by Betty and Veronica. To his right was Alice, followed by Charles, then Polly, Polly's boyfriend Zack. The kids were herded to a smaller table since they couldn't fit anymore. On the kiddy table was Polly's twins with Sam and Juliet joining them.
Once everyone was seated, they dove right into conversation with food being passed around. Thankfully everyone avoided the talk of what happened to them when they were locked up on Thornhill. The night was filled with laughter and stories.
As always, Toni found herself starring at the redheaded beauty beside her, taking in every tiny detail on her face. She loved it when Cheryl looked so carefree. When her eyes were filled with light as if nothing happened. She loved her laugh and found herself melting each time she heard it. It was better than any music she's ever heard. She'd do anything just to hear it all the time. To her, Cheryl looked brighter and lighter than when she first saw them. It made Toni happy that Cheryl was finally happy after months - years - of suffering at the hands of the Blossoms.
Maybe there was more to the Blossom curse than anyone let on. Toni though to herself.
