He let me stay. I couldn't be less happy. I thanked Ryder and my mom. Ryder had followed me here and also made me realize what my mistake was.

And my mom had talked to Ryder to make him assist me or he'd probably stay mad at me till like forever.

Abe has just been ignoring me and leaving the house early and coming back late. He won't even come home for some days and I feel bad. Its because of me.

Paul already called me and told me to come pick the old man. He should be okay now. No need for book and pen.

I wore a wine top, blue faded jeans and white snickers. I got out and entered my car. I drove straight to the hospital.

Hey. Mr. Hurtado. I said to the receptionist and she smiled. Sir, Doctor Paul is on the second room on your left upstairs with your patient. She smiled and I nodded.

I went exactly where she'd told me to and opened the door. I met him with the man and he came to me. How are you Mr. Hurtado? He asked.

I'm good. How's he? Positive or negative? I asked. Erm.. Sir, I don't know now. He needs to rest more. He said.

So he still can't talk after spending over one week here? He still needs to rest after resting for over a week ??! I almost yelled.

Calm down sir. He would still talk. I think he needs more rest, that's it. After sometimes he'd be able to talk. He said and I nodded.

Alright but if anything goes wrong..... Call me. He cut me off and I nodded.

So he's ready to go now? I asked and he nodded. I walked over to the man and he smiled.

He still had the scars from the surgery. It was healing already. How you? I asked and he nodded.

You ready to leave? I asked and he nodded. I held out my hands and he gripped it.

************************************ We got home and I took him to his room to have some rest. I returned to my room.

I brought out my laptop to continue business work. I didn't have my personal assistant yet so I had lot of stuff to do.

Just then someone entered and I turned. It was Lexi. She sat on the chair and I turned away from her.

You didn't ask why I'm here. She said. I don't need to. I replied without looking up at her.

Okay, you always not at home. You don't talk to me. She said. I'm busy. I replied flatly.

She came over to me and closed my laptop. Busy that you don't have time for your wife? She raised an eyebrow.

Just leave it. I've got important works to do. I don't have personal assistant anymore so I have a lot to do. I said dryly.

Okay but I can help do something right? She smiled. No. I shot her. Ouch. She said and I rolled my eyes.

************************************ I stretched lazily. It was morning and... Monday?? Oh. I hate Mondays. I groaned.

I went into the bathroom and entered the shower. I also brushed my teeth. After sometimes, I came out.

I dressed up in my suit. I got my stuffs, stepped into my shoes and got out. I sat in the dinning room for breakfast.

It wasn't a heavy meal. I ate little and stood up. Adonis collected my bag with the files and stepped out.

Abe! An unfamiliar voice yelled behind me and I turned. It was the man. Oh Jesus! I was so shocked.

You go. I'm coming. I said to Adonis and he nodded. I walked over to the man.

You can talk now? I gasped. How you? I asked. I'm good. He said. Did you just start talking? I asked.

Yea... This morning. It was so sudden. I've been trying though. He said and I smiled.

Look. I'll be back. I don't want to be late. When I come back, we'd talk more. I patted him and he nodded.

I walked out and James opened the door for me. I entered and drove off.

I was a bit relieved knowing that man could talk again. I got to my work and got out.

Good morning sir. People said as I walked past, entered the elevator and got to my office.

I entered and started to sort out files and continue from where I stopped the last time.

I did everything I wanted to do at work and ensured all departments were doing their work as expected.

I went home late and exhausted. I already told James to leave so I drove myself. It was late evening I got home.

I took a long shower and stepped into shorts  ready to sleep. I had my dinner  and climbed up my bed to sleep. Was so exhausted 😫

************************************I had to accept Lexi and act like a real husband. It was a bit difficult to bring down my ego for her buh I did.

We been good and I hope nothing brings us apart again.
