Part 8

Kara's POV
We were so close to finding Lena. Alex and Maggie were leading the charge with J'onn and the DEO. I'm nervous for what I'm going to witness once I get in the wear house. I swear if they laid a finger on Lena so help me I'll grill them to no ends. I landed on the ground and told Alex to surround the wear house. I busted through the doors and what I witnessed broke me. Lena was tied to a chair bruises and cuts everywhere. I didn't even focus of Lillian's minions. I went straight for her. She didn't resist either but I knocked her down which gave Alex enough time to bust into the building with the DEO. I ran to Lena while Alex shot everyone else. It was heartbreaking what I had to see. I untied Lena and held her in my arms. She was shaking uncontrollably.
Kara: Lena it's okay it's just me. We are going to stop them and I will protect you.
Lena: S-Supergirl s-she-
Kara: You're under a lot of trauma. Tell me what she's done when you've calmed down and relaxed. Alex I'm out of here bring this whole roof down!

After that I left and brought Lena home. I fixed all her injuries and held her close to me. She's calming down but I can't believe Lillian would do this. I get it she's evil but why hurt Lena. Why not hurt someone else. I was engulfed with rage. I couldn't even think straight. I kissed Lena right then and there. She kissed back. I held her in my arms for the rest of the night. 

The next day

Alex's POV
I was worried about both Kara and Lena. Kara hasn't answered her phone all night and she hasn't checked into the DEO yet. I tried calling her again but it went to voicemail. Maybe her and Lena are sleeping in? I'm sure she wants Lena with her at all times now. I saw what Lillian had done to Lena and it was horrifying. How could anyone do that to their kid. That's just cruel and evil. I was pulled away from my thoughts when I got a text from Kara.

Kara: Hey Alex Sorry for not answering. Didn't mean to worry you. I was tending to Lena's injuries and decided to go to sleep early with her. Emphasis on the sleep.
Alex: oh thank god. And good to know. Will you and Lena be coming to the DEO today? We were informed of some criminal activity downtown.
Kara: Yeah, I'll be there. Lena will be coming since I can't let her out of my sight.
Alex: Fine with me. Just don't get distracted and flirt with your girlfriend.
Kara: I don't flirt at work! If I flirt it'll be embarrassing and corny.
Alex: Fine fine but just get here whenever.

Kara's POV
I wanted to sleep in a little longer but Lena and I had to get ready. She dressed in a cute sweater and leggings to hide the bruises. While I'm wearing my classic super suit. I wished I could leave Lena on her own but I just can't take that risk. I had an idea in mind that I'd have to ask both her and Alex. I want Alex to train her like she trained me. Whenever Lena gets her strength back I want her to learn better self defense. She's strong but not strong enough against all her enemies. She'll be safer if she can fend for herself the way Alex and I do. Hopefully they're both optimistic about the idea and don't deflect it. Lena will be under my care until I can trust she's safe.

Lena's POV
Kara and I headed to the DEO. She seemed very aware of her surroundings. She was on high alert which was nice but I fear she'll be focused on me and not work. She looks lost in thought, if only I could read minds like J'onn could. I don't know why she cares for me so much. I get it that we both love each other dearly but she's taking protecting me to a whole other level. I hope that she focuses on work as much as she does on me. I wanna know why she was so lost in thought. I want to know everything I can on why she cares for me so much.
