The Encounter (Gladion x Reader)

Chapter 1

"Y/N, Y/N, Y/N, WE'RE HERE!" said Sun yelling at the top of his lungs as the plane landed on the runway.

*y/n POV*

I'm sound asleep, and then all of a sudden, "Y/N, Y/N, Y/N, WE'RE HERE!" said Sun. Guess we've finally landed in Alola, after 5 hours. I got up out of my chair just to be pushed out of the way by Sun.

"Sun wait a minute!" y/n running off the plane after him so he wouldn't get lost.

I finally caught up to him right at the door and my mouth just dropped. Seeing the whole island right in front of my face. The beautiful blue sky, and I see some Pokemon. Talking about Pokemon. I get mine Today. After we unpack and all. Suddenly a hand touches my shoulder and I yell jumping back

"AAHHHH" I said

"Sorry sweety" (y/n moms) said

"Welcome home" (y/n dad) said

We get off the plane and drive to our new home. It was a pretty big house, but not too big. Medium sized. Big enough to fit the 4 of us.

"Alright everyone. As soon as we bring all the boxes in, then y/n can get her first Pokemon and start her new journey." y/n dad said

I got so excited I had the biggest smile on my face. I couldn't wait so I just raced every box into my room until I was out of breath.

"All done. Can I go now?" y/n said

"Yes. And have fun picking your new friend." y/n mom said

I then ran out the door grabbing my red hat with black lining and, with my peach backpack with a Pokeball in the center and I was on my way.

*Time Skip*

I finally got to the Pokemon Center where I was finally going to be able to get my first Pokemon. But there was one problem. I DIDN'T KNOW WHICH ONE I WANTED! I did my research before I came to Alola and the 3 Pokemon I get to chose from are the grass and flying type Rowlet, the fire cat type Litten, and then the sea lion water type Popllio. They all looked so cute but I didn't know which one to pick. I finally entered the building and there was one other boy in there with dark greenish hair waiting around as well.

"Hey there. I'm Hau. Whats your name?

I was shocked he was talking to me so I answered quickly.

"I'm y/n"

"Nice to meet ya y/n. Are you here to get a starting Pokemon as well? he said

"Yeah. But I don't know which one to pick" I said

"Don't worry, you'll chose you're Pokemon as long as it choses you" he said

Those words hit me like a brick. Chose your Pokemon, as long as it choses you. That sounded deep. Then a door swung open showing a man with a lab coat wih no shirt and glasses

"Hello. You two must be the new trainers getting their new Pokemon today. I'm Professor Kukui"

"Yup and I'm so excited" Hau said

I shook my head agreeing with Hau

Kukui pulled out 3 Pokemon balls and Litten, Rowlet, and Popllio showed up. Just like I read about.

"Ladies first" Hau said

"I-I still don't know. You go" I said

I was watching Hau and he bent down on one knee and he chose Rowlet.

"Now let's see if Rowlet choses you" Kukui said

Rowlet then flew on Hau's shoulder and fell asleep

"Well, I guess that's a yes" Kukui said

'Now it's my turn' I thought. I was walking up to the remaining Pokemon left. Litten the fire type, and Popllio the water type. They were both looking at me and I was so unsure, but I then had this feeling that something, or someone was watching me. But I shook it off as I was about to choose

"I pick-"
