The Encounter (Gladion x Reader)

Chapter 12

* y/n POV *

It's the next day and you're on your way to see Gladion to talk to him. You're now at his front door about to ring his door bell.

"You can do this y/n. You can do this." you said to yourself

You rung the doorbell and Hobs appeared at the front

"Hello Ms. y/n. What may I help you with?" he said

"Is Gladion around. I'd like to speak with him." you said

"He's upstairs in his room"

"Ok. Thank you." you said

You walk upstairs sneaking past Lillie's door so she doesn't see you to talk to Gladion. You tip toe run and you finally reach his closed door. You can hear loud music playing on the other side. You take a deep breath in and out. You knock on the door twice. No answer.

"Oh my god" you said a little angry

You knocked really hard on the door. Hard enough for him to hear it now. You heard him turn off the music. 'Here we go'

"What!' he said

"Well hello to you too" you said in a sassy tone

"Sorry y/n. Come on in." he said. "What are you doing here. I thought you'd be off running around with your new friend." he said

"New friend? What are you talking abou-.Wait. Were you spying on me!" you said yelling at him annoyed

He ran up to you an covered your mouth

"Shhhh. No. I wasn't spying on you. I was just watching you from a far distance to see what you were doing." he said looking down

"That's spying Gladion. I knew I shouldn't have come" you said

You turned around to walk to the door but he grabbed your arm

"Wait. I'm sorry. The only reason I was following you was because I wanted to talk to you. About what happened the other night. In my kitchen. Why are you here?" he asked

You turned back around and faced him. He let go of your arm

"I came here to talk to you as well about what happened. And about us." you said

"Oh. Ok." he said

You both sat down on his couch. None of you were saying anything yet until you spoke up first

"Ok. This is awkward. I'm just going to jump right to it. You need to tell me Gladion." you said

"Tell me what?"

"Why? Why Team Skull?"

He looked down not looking back up at you.

"I've never really fit in. I've always kept my guard up, a wall from caring about people I care about. Friends and family. That's why I have this gloomy attitude. Why I'm rude towards people sometimes. I joined Team Skull because I thought I could fit it there. But after I found out what they were doing. Stealing Pokémon, and then hurting them. I bailed. That blue haired loser, I wasn't a part of Team Skull when I met you that night. I was trying to save you from him. If you need help battling him. But you didn't. You proved me wrong that you and Eevee were strong enough against him. And y/n."

He looked back up at you and took your hands and you looked into each others eyes.

"I am so so sorry for what I've done to you. I never meant to hurt you, or Eevee, or Sylvion, or Nine Tails. I never should have lied to you. Y/n, I love you"

Tears started to form in your eyes

"I promise, if we get back together, if you give me another chance, I will never, ever hurt you again." he said

You saw he had tears in his eyes too, and a tear fell down your cheek. You looked down at your hands for a moment thinking of what you should do, but then you realized that you still loved Gladion. You never stopped. You looked back up at him and gave him a small smile. He wiped the tear away with his hand and he leaned in and he gave you a nice and passionate kiss. Probably the best one of all. You took his face and leaned him in closer. You looked at each other and you both smiled. You wanted to give him a hug but before you did you said

"I love you too"

Then you pulled him in for the hug and he smiled hugging you back. Your Pokémon and his Pokémon were all happy that you guys were back together again.

"Oh my gosh you guys are back together again. Big brother I'm so happy for you. You too y/n." Lillie said as she barged in

"LILLIE. DID YOU SEE THE WHOLE THING!" Gladion and I yelled in synk

"Maybe" she said looking down

You both gave her an evil look and she ran out the door. Then you both laughed.

You guys hung out for the rest of the afternoon spending the whole day together now that you're a couple again. You fell asleep on Gladion's shoulder and he rested his head on yours and he fell asleep as well. You couldn't be more happier now.
