Star, sun and moon

chapter 1

*Moonwatcher point of view*

Her eyes opened searching for his pale blue scales. She turned around searching for him but something was wrong. No, everything was wrong. She was in a cave, very dark and cold and the sky was far away. It was hard even to found her own black tail.

"Winter?" she called. Nobody answered. Was she alone?

"Winter please come back" her head didn't listen to thoughts. She was definitely alone.

"Moon," said a cold voice "I'm here"

Moon's heart jumped. He didn't forget her yet, there was a chance for them. She ran for his voice and everything seemed to get in the right place at that moment.

"Moon...Moon...Moon...Moon..." the voice called

"I love you...I...I..."

And everything fell beneath her claws. The ground wasn't more a rock, she wasn't more in a cave. Moon was in a tent with a dragon poking her gently on her arm. "Why am I here?" she thought. The dragon was seatting next to her, with a worried expression in his eyes. His scales were pale yellow.

"Moon, are you alright? Was it another vision? You were very scared." asked Qibli.

The dragon wasn't anyone. Qibli was the dragon who she chose.

"I'm alright, thank you Qibli. Was another nightmare."

"Another Moon? Are you sure that isn't a vision?" asked he

"Yes, I'm sure"

She exits the tent to see the dark sky. She loved the sky, but it wasn't the same thing to fly with Winter and fly without. Everything was Darkstalker's fault. She didn't understand why he did that. If Moon didn't trust him to make the decision of her life...

Moon was walking in the Night Kingdom days before the war with the Icewings. The library was near the palace, so every morning she liked to go there and read her favorite hobby. It Was an enormous library, the biggest that she had seen. She wanted to be there forever, but she knew it was impossible. Moon was surprised to find Darkstalker there.

"Hello, Darkstalker" Moon said

"Moon, I need to talk to you," said Darkstalker "I saw in the future the decision that you will have to make. They love you, you know. But now is very close to you making the decision of your life. You have to choose the SandWing, Qibli. You will be much happier with him and I know what your Ice friend do with you, Moon. I know that you don't like when he starts yelling with you. Believe me."

"But..." she knew that would happen on that day, but Darkstalker couldn't be right. He mustn't be right

"Moon, you don't prefer Winter, right? I saw futures where he does awful things with you. With Qibli you will be happy, he is funnier and smarter than the other."

"Yes Darkstalker, if what you are saying is true, I prefer Qibli."

"I would never lie to you. Choose him. You have to."

Moon was in panic. She was never more sure that what she would say "No, you prefer Winter. Say that you won't. Say that Winter needs you. Say that he doesn't want to yell, he only yells because it is his way to protect himself. Say that everything you need is to see in every morning his eyes looking at you with the same expression that I look at scrolls" her mind shouted

"I will"

Qibli left the tent and sat on Moon side. He started looking at the two moons in the sky. She looked at him and he looked back smiling. The two dragons stay thinking for a long time. Finally, Qibli said:

"What are you thinking?"

"I'm remembering one day that I was with Darkstalker" explained Moon

"Listen, I need to talk to you" Qibli said

"Please Qibli, I need to talk first..."

This was the day. "I will talk to him. I will explain" Moon thought anxious because deep in her heart, she knew that she was not prepared.

"Listen, I think...I think that... I made...."

" Moon," he said, hugging her "I don't want to see you nervous. You don't have to explain nothing, I know everything since the day you chose me"

"No...Please Qibli" she cried "you deserve the truth... Let I...Let me explain. I love you but...Like a friend."

"Shh. I know Moon. You speak during your nightmare" he said with a little nervous laugh "You prefer Winter, I said this to you on the day you chose me, but you didn't listened. He needs you. After losing his family, his kingdom, and his glory, I knew that he couldn't lose his love. Please stop explaining and go to him. I love you so much to trap you with me."

"I don't want to lose you Qibli"

"Lose me, Moon?" He said laughing "You will never lose me, Moon. You are my friend and will be forever. Even if you prefer Winter than me."

"I love you Qibli," Moon whispered hugging more his beautiful wings

"I love you too"
