After a while, Qibli slept a little. When he was almost asleep, he thought that heard Strongwings saying that he would take revenge because they hurt Fierceteeth. Qibli didn't care much, he was almost asleep and his head was tired. He woke up at the sunset.
He looked at the sky overhead. The sky was a purplish blue and some stars were visible. "I wish I could annoy Winter up there". He moved a little and someone grumbled something, so Qibli turned around and noticed that he slept with his head on Winter. He quickly got up, Winter couldn't find out that he was literally sleeping on him. After several tries to wake up Winter, he took flight to try to wake up Moon. She was exactly the way Qibli left her before, but now the snow of the wings and arms melted, leaving Moon wet and bloody.
"Hey, wake up" he said poking her on her belly "We have to carry Winter and you to a safe place" she grumbled something, Qibli recognize the word "don't". After awhile she opened her eyes.
"Is this the after life? Only joking, it is kind of a BIG surprize that we are alive." she said smiling. Qibli helped her to stand up, according to her, every part of her body was screaming with pain, specially her tail.
"My tail will be like this forever. We can carry him tomorrow. I can't even carry myself" Moon said pointing to the inert body of Winter. Qibli looked at Moon and after he looked at Winter. He did this many times before finally answering to her.
"It is unsafe here. During the night, anyone can go here and kill three injured and asleep dragons. It is like killing a scavenger with their tiny sticks. Hurt a little, but is very easy. And we can sleep much better in a warmer place, the blood of my scar literally freezed" Qibli told Moon. She looked at him and made a 'give-me-patience-to-tolerate-you' face. It was the first time Moon did that face.
"I think your new boyfriend changed you a little" he joked with Moon
"Ha, very funny sandcastle" she said trying to pull Winter up. They tried a lot, and when Qibli was almost giving up, they took flight carrying him. They spent almost half an hour to land, Moon wanted to get as closer as they could of the Sand kingdom.
"Stop... I need to rest" Qibli begged. Moon didn't answered to his question, she only keeped fling. During the flight, Winter opened his eyes one time, but he didn't speak anything and closed after sometime.
"There" Moon gasped. She was getting down so fastly that Qibli almost let Winter fall. The place Moon choose to sleep was a little forest, there wasn't any snow but it was very cold and dark. Maybe it was dark because it was already night.
"I think I never felt so tired ever" Qibli said lying on a brush. Moon was trying to make a fire pit to warm them.
"Me too. I think I will sleep like a Rainwing tonight, no offense Kinkajou" She looked around trying to find something "Kinkajou? Where is she? She was after us, wasn't she?" Qibli tried to remember if he saw their little Rainwing, but he didn't remembered where she was.
"I forgot completely! She must be alone and freezing now, if she didn't die yet." Qibli told Moon. Moon gave him a lonely look, like all she wanted to only to dig a hole and stay there, crying. He looked at Moon and gave her look back, he felt pity for her and all he wanted was to say "It is all right, I understand" even if he had no idea why this feeling of loneliness was in the air, or what Moon was feeling. Everything he wanted was to make Moon find some way to get this feeling away, so he only got closer and hug her.
They stayed there, and stayed, stayed... Qibli thought Moon was crying, so he pull her closer. After this, they slept together. Qibli dreamed something, but he didn't remembered what he dreamed very well. He only knew that in his dream Winter died, and Moon got depressed. It was very realistic compared to his other dreams. Moon and Qibli woke up at the same time.
"Morning" she yawned and watched Winter, still asleep
"What happened?" Qibli asked
"You think he will wake up?" Qibli looked at her, she still was with the lonely face. Now he understood why she was like this, she was afraid to lose Winter and Kinkajou. He was too, but Moon seemed weird like that... She always had a strange feeling of compassion, and Qibli thought she cared much more about what the others were feeling than what herself was feeling.
"Of course. At this time, we have to continue strong and believe that Kinkajou and Winter will come back safe. It's our way to continue fighting all of this" Qibli said, smiling.
"Thank you. I am with this weird feeling, I don't know very well what it is, but... When I look at Winter I think if he doesn't wake up, I will lose many importants moments I wished to do with him and my friends." she explained sadly
"Me too" sighed Qibli. Moon turned around to look Qibli, and he realized that he just spoke that he loved Winter as much as Moon. "I am dead, if she tell Winter..." Qibli thought.
"And Kinkajou? Where do you think she is?" he said, trying to change the subject.
"Right here. Destroyed but here"
Hello! I think my story is much more about Qinter than Winterwatcher, sorry. I will try to make more Winterwatcher if you readers want. And THANK YOU for reading this far! I know that I'm not the best writers... But thank you for all people who commented and voted, this is very important to me. I think i will write a fanfic of Qinter later, maybe.
