Chapter 2

*Moonwatcher point of view*

After Moon said goodbye to Qibli, she flew south to Sanctuary, where was probably to find Winter. After almost one day flying Moon wasn't too far away, but she was exhausted and even if she wanted to find Winter as fast as possible, her wings didn't allow her. She hunted a very fat lizard and slept under the stars, thinking about Qibli, Darkstalker and, most of all, Winter.

When Moon woke up, she fastly took a flight to Sanctuary. Kinkajou had spoken that Winter had joined the Talons of Peace and he had a plan to build a sanctuary for scavengers. Her best friend helped Winter to catch some of them, but she suspected that Winter would never stop wanting more and more scavengers for his sanctuary. Hopefully, she could get some of them in the future. But now she had to focus on what she will say to him.

Since their search for Hailstorm, Winter changed a lot. He started get more gently with everybody and started respecting more other people. Kinkajou said that sometimes she didn't recognize the angry Winter and that he started to be much more like Turtle and Qibli than she expected. This was a big change to Winter. A very good change.

Moon landed on the cold and wet ground of the mountain where the Talons of Peace chose to construct Sanctuary. The city was progressing, there were some houses in the valley and a large construction that Moon supposed was a school. There was too another construction, but this one was smaller than the school and bigger than a house. This one was like a very big cage with three tiny houses inside. There was one little creature visible, but Moon thought there were more. The place where Sanctuary was built was very beautiful, but a little colder than she expected. She found Riptide next to the biggest house of the city. She approached him.

"Riptide, I think you don't know me, but I am one of the students of Tsunami. I'm looking after a friend."

"You are looking after who?"

"He is an Icewing, his name Winter and I think he is here because my friend said that. I think he joined the talons of peace." Moon said. She was trying hard to not listen to Riptide's thoughts, but was a little difficult after saying that she know Tsunami. "Why is she here?" he thought "did she come because Tsunami was missing me? No, that is impossible. Tsunami don't care about me."

"Oh. He was here by now but I think he went to near scavengers den to pick more of them" He said.

"Thank you very much. Tsunami asked me to tell you that she miss you. You should visit her any of these days."Moon told him, hoping it would help him.

Riptide told her to look after Winter first in his sanctuary for scavengers, and after that, she ran as fast as possible. he was so close that in every corner she expected to find his artic eyes looking at her. But in every corner, she felt more anxious and afraid. Afraid to find a Winter that doesn't care about her anymore. She fastly found the scavengers sanctuary but Winter wasn't there. Moon's wings dropped. There were two scavengers inside the cage, but they weren't as sad and scared as the old Winter's scavenger. They didn't seem to have noticed her, because the tone of their squeaks wasn't indicating fear. It was beautiful how they worked together like dragons.

"Hey, what are you doing here Nightwing?" asked someone. Moon turned around and found a pale blue dragon looking at her.

"Moon?" he asked again.

"No. It can't be possible. Please wake up Moon, it is another nightmare. He will disappear if I approach" Moon thought she started holding back tears.

"Moon!" he shouted "What are you doing here? You were supposed to stay...Stay with Qibli." Winter said and hugged her with his cold wings. It was a very cold hug, but she didn't care. Everything she wanted is to hug him again. She started crying.

"Wait a minute. If he did something to you..." he said with hate in the eyes.

"No! Please don't. Wasn't him, Darkstalker..."

"DARKSTALKER?! Did he come back? But you promised!" Winter said angry.

"No! Please listen to me" Moon whispered with fear that Winter will start yelling at her. But instead he said with a calm voice.

"I'm listening"
