Have you ever seen a shooting star?
Have you blown a dandelion?
Or an eyelash
Have you waited till it was 11:11?
I have...
I have always waited for a moment when I would be able to wish
It's not something particular, it's more so as to what I want in that moment
And, honestly, most of the times my wishes do come true
But lately...
They haven't been able to.
Maybe it's just because it's too far fetched
I knew it all along too
...but a part of me just hoped
Hoped that someday youd be mine
And I would be able to hold you,
Kiss you,
Make you giggle like a schoolgirl.
But maybe that was just a wish...
And no matter how much I say that my past wishes have come true
I know it's just a lie
To somehow convince myself that someday
I'd be able to hold you close to me and call you mine.
