Arneth's POV.
The next morning I was woken early by a chambermaid. "Echuio, hiril vuin(wake up, My Lady). You need to prepare for the council today," she tells me gently. I get up and head towards my pool and I know the chambermaid is following me. "Le athae Bronwenis(thank you, Bronwenis) but that is all," I tell her. She nods and leaves after telling me she will be back to help me dress. I undress and slide into the pool, swimming over to the far end of the room I pick up a bottle of Rose scented oil and wash myself. I pick up another bottle of Jasmine scented oil and used it to wash my hair. Twenty minutes later I was standing in my bedchamber and Bronwenis is drying my hair and styling it into a way she thinks will compliment my dress. When she is finished I walk over to the bed to see the dress laid out on it.(see pic) My dress is astounding. It's green satin, the straps, instead of going on the shoulders, sits on the top of the arm and has gold patterns on the bodice of the corset, it also has a train. The sleeves of the dress are long and come down past my fingertips. I have a pair of low green heels and then my mothers chain and a circlet Ada insists I wear. I absolutely hate wearing dresses. Once I'm fully dressed I thank Bronwenis for all her hardwork and I go in search of Frodo.

I come across Pippin, who ran straight into me... again, and he starts apologising before he looks at me. "Arneth, is-is that you?" he asks his eyes wide in surprise. I laugh softly and nodded "Yes Pippin, it's me. Do you know where Frodo is? I need to speak with him!" I ask. He nods and grabs my hand running along the halls and I keep tripping over the skirt of my dress. Have I mentioned that I hate wearing dresses."Pippin, please slow down. I can't run in this dress." I say. He slows down and gives me a sheepish "I'm sorry" and I laugh at how adorable he is. We walk the rest of the way to Bilbos room and when we enter I see all of the other hobbits talking together. But when Pippin and I walk in they stop and Sam chokes on the water he was drinking. I rush over to him and rub his back and he stops. "Arneth, what, how, wow! Oh umm, I mean, you look really nice!" he says. I laugh again. Geez! I seem to be doing a lot of that since I met these hobbits. "Thank you Sam," I say and then turn to Frodo, "Would you walk with me Frodo? I need to talk to you about something!". He nods and we walk out of Bilbo's room. We are walking towards the balcony where the council is being held and Frodo asks where we are going. "I apologise for the secrecy Frodo, but we couldn't not tell the others where we are going. Through the doors up ahead is a council and it held so we can discuss what to do with the Ring. Ada will call your name then you will walk through the doors. I will go with you. Don't worry! I refuse to leave your side," I tell him. I turn around to see three hobbits trying to conceal themselves behind pillars. I should have known that we could not keep them away. I say nothing however, then Ada calls Frodo's name.

"Strangers from distant lands, friends of old. You have been summoned here to answer the threat of Mordor. Middle-Earth stands upon the brink of destruction. None can escape it. You will unite, or you will fall. Each race is bound to this fate, this one doom. Bring forth the Ring, Frodo," Ada says as we walk into the council. There is a heavy silence lingering in the air. I look around and see elves from Mirkwood, dwarves, Gandalf and a few of the race of men. One is sitting beside Gandalf and as I walk in with Frodo his eyes fix on my chain. Is he aware of his actions or is it just because it is shiny? Frodo walks into the centre of the circle and places the Ring on a stone table then retreats to the seat beside me. As soon as he places it down gasps and hushed murmurs run through the people but one man in particular says "So it is true" with his gaze fixed on the ring. When Frodo sits he releases a sigh almost as if he dropped heavy baggage after carrying it for so long. Everyone's attention is now fixed on the Ring. Another mans comment was that the Ring is 'The doom of men'. The one who spoke earlier contradicted him. "It is a gift. A gift to the foes of Mordor. Why not use this Ring? Long has my father, the a Steward of Gondor, kept the forces of Mordor at bay. By the blood of our people are your lands kept safe. Give Gondor the weapon of the enemy. Let us use it against him," he said and I freeze. Gondor, he is from Gondor and his father is the Steward, which means this is either Boromir or Faramir. I was about to ask him who he was when the man who was staring at my chain said "You cannot wield it! None of us can. The One Ring answers to Sauron alone. It has no other master!". This however peeved off Boromir/Faramir as he retaliated with "And what would a ranger know of this matter?". He's a ranger, now I get it. He must not see very many shiny things other than his sword. But suddenly, an elf stood up and announced "This is no mere ranger. He is Aragorn, son of Arathorn. You owe him your allegiance!". Wait, did he just say Aragorn? I look over at Aragorn and see the resemblance between my brother and my father in him. Could it be that he is my brother?
