Chapter 49- Bittersweet

[Third Person's POV]

Sana's health was examined for two weeks and soon discharged. Articles and news regarding about Sana's condition spread like wild-fire as she shocked the whole world.

Currently, Sana is inside her own bedroom.

*Flashback*

Sana went outside the hospital as group of reporters suddenly sprinted towards her direction.

It was chaos. The guards hold down the reporters as Mr. Minatozaki pushed her daughter's wheelchair to their car.

Soon, they drove towards Sana and Mina's house.

When they arrived, the older was amazed by the exterior of the house. They entered the house and Sana's jaw dropped.

"We'll leave now." Mr. Minatozaki informed before approaching Mina, "I'll leave her to you." He said as the girl nod.

"We'll see you tomorrow, Sana." He said before placing a kiss on her daughter's cheeks before entering the car.

"We live here?!" Sana exclaimed while continue roaming around, Mina hummed, "Uh-huh."

"Where's my room?" Sana asked out of the blue as Mina rubbed her nape.
"U-um.. we actually s-share a room." She stuttered.

Sana's ears perk as she suddenly felt her heart beating faster. She cleared her throat before facing Mina, "I-is it okay if I have my own room?" Sana fiddled her fingers.

Mina became sad after hearing that but plaster a fake smile before nodding her head, "Sure." She was trying not to let her tears fall down in front of Sana.

The older observed that Mina's mood went downhill as soon as she said that. The latter felt guilty as she was thinking about it.

"Hey, don't be guilty. You didn't do anything wrong." Mina managed to say as she helped Sana go up the stairs.

"Are you sure? You seem sad when I said that." Sana flashed a concerned gaze to the younger. "I'm not sad.. I'm just tired." Mina made an excuse.

They reached their "shared bedroom" as Mina helped the older to lay down. "Just call me if you need me. I'll be at the other room." Mina referred to the guest room which was just beside Sana's room.

The older nod her head as she closed her eyes. Mina stood up and held the door knob, sparing one last glance on the sleeping figure before going out.

Mina entered the guest room with her things and layed down. She faced the wall with her mind blank. Tears suddenly fell down as she swiftly wiped it.

Sniffs turned to sobs-- sobs turned to soft cries. She continued crying until she fell asleep.

Beyond Mina's knowing, Sana was awake the whole time. She heard her crying herself to sleep.

Sana's heart broke into pieces when she heard the younger girl crying at the other room. She was concerned as a friend.

*End of Flashback*

Sana closed the book she was reading as another short flashback appeared again.

She shut her eyes closed.

"Look, I just want to say to you that I-I-I love you." She heard her voice before disappearing.

She opened her eyes as she was bewildered by that statement. "I love you? I love you to whom?" She asked herself.
