Chapter 21

Jennie's Pov

In the past few weeks a lot has happened, bts schedules were postponed, uncle chun is been arrested, Bang PD and sejin sunbae had a hard time sorting out the police case and at the end somehow managed to hid the fact that jin is involved in the incident.0 About uncle Chun, jin is helping me a lot in it and the trial is on the process.

Although we have now started dating, still everything stays secret. Of course, the rest of the group, few in management and close friends knew about our relationship. The secret was keeping it from the media and fans. Even though big hit hasn't coined any terms against relationship in their agreement, it was us who decided to keep it secret considering the consequences.

Now that jin is quite healed, the boys are busy working on their upcoming album. It is almost afternoon and the boys are still asleep after working all night and grace has taken uncle to hospital for a checkup. Being bored and all alone I walked up to the kitchen to make some egg rolls. While I was busy indulged in cooking suddenly I felt warm hands around my waist which made me jerk a little.

"so you are finally up, do you want some coffee?", I asked jin not turning around with still my eyes glued on to the egg rolls.

"honey"

"mm"

"honeyyy", he kept pecking my cheeks and dangling over my shoulder until I turned around. The moment our eyes met he pecked my lips lightly and gave a smug smile

"aish... stop making me go all red in the morning itself", I nudged him being fluttered by his sudden action

"I can't stop whenever I see you around", he said embracing me in a hug

"jin, it would be awkward if the boys caught us in this position"

"during a day off, that too after a night shift, no way" "we never have the habit of waking up early, during a day off", he said pulling me closer

"is that so?", as I look into his eyes with a smirk he leaned closer for a kiss, just then I heard someone cough and jolted on noticing it to be jimin. Being caught, I parted away instantly and handed jimin a glass of water who is now nearly choking to death.

"Hyung stop making me jealous", jimin scoffed clearing his thought

"then go get yourself one", he stuck out his tongue at jimin and pulled me back to hug

"jin!", I eyed at him and walked back, breaking the hug leaving him in a frown. Jimin chuckled at his Hyung who is now all sulky.

"so jimin what do you want for lunch?", I asked jimin ignoring jin's intense glare

"are you going to cook for today?"

"yup"

"then we will help you out" "how about Bibimbap (mixed rice), Bulgogi (marinated beef barbecue), and Japchae (stir-fried noodles)?"

"Sounds good"

"I will go get the others too"

As soon as jimin marched to the boy's room jin took me in a swirl and held me by my waist.

"seriously jin even after being caught you still have the nerve to –", before I could finish he sealed my lips with his taking me out of the world. After an intense kiss, we parted away breathing heavily. 

"I dare to, don't ever challenge me with the tempting lips of yours", he smirked

"you are just shameless", I hit him playfully releasing myself from his embrace

"now are you going to help me with the lunch or not?", I added grabbing ingredients

He quickly tucked the hair strand behind my ears on noticing me struggling with it and started cleaning the vegetables while intermittently glancing at me. smiling back to myself I proceeded with the cooking ignoring his little glance.

"be careful it's still hot", saying so he grabbed the vessel from behind and helped me out meanwhile, I took my time staring at him which I always tend to do when he is busy indulged in something or the other and now it has become a habit. 

"I should also learn cooking", tae commented on us

"oh! you guys are back", I spoke out finally realizing the boy's presence

"I think we should get used to such things from now on", hobi muttered a bit loud earning a chuckle from me

"Are you gonna stare at us for all-day or help?", jin asked out chopping the vegetables and with that, the boys invaded the kitchen barely leaving me enough space to stand. In no time the kitchen turned into a war field but anything done with the boys would always end up in fun and this isn't any exceptional. 

Done with the cooking as we set the table, just then grace and uncle returned back home and joined us.

"it's delicious!", hobi commented as he munches them while the others seconded him. Soon the atmosphere toned down as the boys turned into serious mood and were busy filling up themselves. 

When all of us are almost done with the meal grace called out grabbing our attention as if she is about to make some important announcement.

"what is it grace?"

"yu yan(Jennie)... we are going back to India tomorrow-"

"but the trial is not yet over"

"I meant 'we' yu yan not 'you', you have to be here for the trial so you stay here while we try to arrange for some money at hometown"

"but"

"you know it well that right from uncle's operation to the trial jin is the one who took care of everything, even though he is your boyfriend now it isn't right to take advantage of him"

"advantage! I never felt that way... she didn't use, I did all this out of my wish", jin defended

"that shows your big heart dear but still I would also like to help my daughter", uncle patted jin with a sad smile

"I have never wished to regain my wealth back but now I wish I could", I spoke out of guilt

"after the trial, everything is going to be alright", namjoon motivated me

"I wish"

"When you win the trial lets go to the amusement park" "no let's go ice skating" "how about-", the boys started bickering around earning a chuckle from us. just like every day they managed to lighten up the mood of everyone.

After enjoying the hearty meals together, I was left alone in the kitchen, washing the plates very slow and weak, I couldn't stop thinking about the trial ahead.

"honey, are you alright?", jin asked with concerned filled eyes

Jin's pov

I walked to the kitchen to grab a bottle of juice and found Jennie washing the dishes lifelessly.

The moment our eyes met she hugged me gently laying her head over my chest, letting the water flow through the tap.

"Jennie better tell me what's going on don't leave me hanging", I asked grabbing her chin softly

"I am worried"

"about what?"

"about the trial, I know uncle Chun's love for money and he would go any length to secure it. I am afraid what he is about to do next", she spoke out with glittery eyes which are now overwhelmed with tears. I hugged her tightly and comforted her until she is emotionally stable

"don't worry, I will stay by your side no matter what", I said gently stroking her hair not breaking the hug
