Devil's Trap [ Mitzu ]

Chapter 6: The Deal

Mina's POV

Tzuyu's vehicle entered a high, black gate. The walls surrounding it also gigantic. There was a guard who opened us an automatic gate before we even got there.

As the car stopped in the driveway, Tzuyu push the remote and suddenly the door on my side opened. She opened her own door and get down. That is also what I did.

As I got out of the heavily tinted vehicle, a huge house welcome me. I whispered to myself. How did she get such a large house? She's only 21 years old!

"Good morning, Maam Tzuyu." Greeted a butler right next to the door. Tzuyu reached the car remote to him. "My garage." Her short instructions before entering through the open door.

The butler is old and I can't help but wonder if he is one of them. Vampires. Again I looked at the house in front of me. From well-trimmed plants, to expensive doors and floors. It was modern yet there are traces of vintage design.

"Mina, come on."

I gulped when I hear Tzuyu's voice inside. I looked at the butler and I wonder if I will be safe in this place. It looks like a normal mansion when you see. But what really is normal for them?

I went inside and all the maids I past by are bowing at me. I got more conscious on what I'm wearing. PE shorts and white t-shirts. I wandered around looking for Tzuyu. But I could only see some wood and glassware things. From the stairs, chandeliers, vases and furniture.

"Maam, please follow me." Said a younger maid.

She sent me to a room. It was somewhat a study room. She sat me down on a brown leather sofa and next came an another maid and lay the food on the coffee table in front of me.

"Where's Tzuyu." I ask.

"She will follow maam." The lady who brought me to the room politely answered and then close the door and left me.

I examined the interior of the room. Books, tables, computers, and more books. The others are obviously thick and old. I played with the end of my rubber shoes I was wearing on the maroon floor rug.

"They didn't give you any proper clothes?"

I was got surprised by what I heard. I could feel the automatic increase of speed of my heartbeat. I looked back to the long table where she was sitting behind it and looked like she had been watching me since awhile ago.

I feel conscious again of what I was wearing. I looked for a pillow to cover my leg but I couldn't find anything. I heard her chuckel. A deep, hearty one, that filled the silent room.

"Don't worry, most of the women I brought here are much worse."

I got pissed because of what she said. How many women came into this place and never  return in a proper mind? Monster. I balled my knuckles until they turned ashen on my pale skin.

Later, I felt a warm breathe in my neck. "You're adorable when you're reacting like that." She said from behind me. "Damn adorable and sexy."

"Cut the crap." I said emphasizing every word. "Tell me how can I cure Chaeyoung."

She laughed softly. "Patients, Mina."

She walked over and sat on my opposite single seater sofa. She is on normal clothes, a simple gray T-shirt that tuck on her short jean shorts. I'm not used to seeing her normal. Because, what I saw that night are losing in mind.

"Why her?" I weakly ask. "Why does she have to be in this problem? She has nothing to do with it."

She leaned in my direction and rest her elbows on her knees as she watched me closely. "And what makes you think I'm the one behind the crime?" She asked seriously.
