"Here's the Tenth question." Everyone sat in silence, waiting. "But first, I'd like to go over more rules,"
Kankuro walked back in the room- wait, when did he leave? I don't remember... Kankuro walked over to his seat and sat down, Ibiki continued to speak.
"Rule number one: You're each given the choice not to answer the question. If you decide not to, then you will fail, and your teammates will too. If you do choose to take the question, and get it wrong... then you will not only fail but you will never be able to take the Chuunin Exams again!"
Kiba stood up, "That's bull! There are lots of people here who have taken the test before!"
Ibiki started laughing. "I guess you're just unlucky, I wasn't making the rules before, but I am now. But if you don't want to answer the tenth question, then you don't have to."
It went silent for a moment, but Ibiki spoke again. "Okay, if you're ready we'll start the tenth question. For those who don't want to take it, raise your hand." A lot of people raised their hand, and said sorry to their team.
Naruto raised his hand, I stared at him...
Stared...
Stared...
Stared...
Slam!
Naruto had slammed his hand down. "Don't underestimate me, I don't quit and I don't run! You can act tough all you want, you guys won't scare me off. No way, I don't care if I do get stuck as a genin for the rest of my life. I'll still be Hokage someday!"
Alright, there's the Naruto I know...
"This is a decision that will change your life, Now's your last chance to quit."
Naruto stared confidently at Ibiki, "No way, I never go back on my word, that's the ninja way."
Everyone else suddenly looked confident, and none raised their hands. "Well then, I admire your determination. Which means there's only one thing left to do, and that's for me to tell you... That you've all past the first exam."
Wait... what? My eye twitched, we went through all of that... just for him to tell us we passed... I sat here in this uncomfortable chair... just for that?! I'm going to kill them all...
Sakura stood up, "What just happened, what do you mean we passed?! What about the tenth question?" I glared at her.
"Sakura, No! Bad girl, don't ask that. Just let him tell us we passed before he changes his mind. Haven't you learned that yet?" Kiba chuckled at me.
"There never was one, not a written one at least! Actually, asking if you wanted to leave now or not was the question!" Ibiki was grinning, like how Naruto would.
I wonder if he does this for his own amusement or something, because I'd love to do this for fun.
Temari was now the one to yell at Ibiki because of how confused everyone was, "Wait, so the other nine questions were just a waste of time?"
"No not at all! Quite the opposite really, the first nine questions were to see how well you could gain information."
He started to explain, but I tuned out as soon as he pulled his headband off, scared me. I watched Kiba intently while I waited for them to stop talking.
"This part of the Chuunin exams, Completed. Now there's nothing left to do but wish you guys good luck."
Naruto jumped up and cheered, I blinked.
Out of nowhere... the window broke, there was a giant sign and a girl standing in front of us, "Alright! This is no time to celebrating. I'll be your next propter, Mitarashi Anko! Are you ready for the second test? Good! Let's go."
