Great, Stuck In Their World ~Naruto Story~ Chapter 40

Sunlight invaded my room, causing me to pull the covers over my head. I groaned, deciding whether or not I should get up or stay in bed and try to go back to sleep.

Deciding on the former, I threw the covers off of me and rolled out of bed and on to the floor. I dragged myself all the way downstairs until I got to Sasuke, he gave me a curious look as I got closer. Once I was close enough, I put my head on his shoulder.

"Good morning," He greeted; I gently slapped his other shoulder for no reason. "Tired?"

A yawn escaped my lips, and nodded my head. "Just a bit."

"Do you want breakfast?"

I lifted my head to look at him, and raised an eyebrow at him. "What? Sasuke would never offer me breakfast. What have you done with the real Sasuke?!"

He sweatdropped, "As your boyfriend… I figured I should…" He explained.

It felt so odd hearing those words. Sasuke and boyfriend in the same sentence just… don’t make sense. I do not comprehend this. "Well, I guess…"

As he started to go towards the kitchen, there was a knock. Sasuke and I shared a questioning look before I decided to answer the door. The door revealed it to be Ayame.

"Sasuke, Naomi! Hi! Don’t mind me, I’m just kidnapping Naomi for an hour or four!" She screamed in my ear before grabbing my wrist and yanking me out of the doorway and off onto the street.

"Ayame!" I cried in protest. "I wanted to eat!"

"No, no! This is way more important than eating!"

"What in the world could be more important than eating?!" She giggled but led me all the way to her training ground.

When we got there, the first thing I noticed was Ryuu and Shizuka sparring and then Shan sitting on the grass. He looked a bit irritable.

When he noticed us, he stomped over. "Ayame! You’re late!" He yelled, I’m surprised the other two didn’t stop sparring because of his loud voice.

"Shan! Don’t yell in my ear like that! It hurts!" She whined, covering her kitty ears with her hands.

"Well, I need someone to spar with! Come on." He demanded, tugging on her sleeve.

"Shan! No, I need to tell everyone something!" He groaned in frustration, turning towards the other two teammates.

Shizuka caught Ryuu’s fist as he tried to punch her. "Hold on, Ryuu. Ayame arrived and she’s brought Naomi."

"Yeah, I noticed." Ryuu mumbled as they walked over to us.

Ayame beamed at the two, "Guys! I have something to tell everyone. Let’s all sit near the tree!" She gestured towards the giant tree, which we all headed to.

We all sat down, Ayame sat on a rock that happened to be near the tree, and I sat directly in front of her on the grass, Ryuu was next to me on my right, Shan was on his left and Shizuka was next to Shan.

"Alright, so… yesterday I was training with my sensei, and… she told me about how our kekkei genkai can actually reach two different stages! Which, actually… Ryuu, you’ve already gotten to that. The Trinity Dragon is your second stage. From what I know, Naomi, Shan, you guys haven’t reached it yet… but I’m sure you will! Also, there’s a third stage, too. Sadly, the only two to have reached that were Grandma Kaede and Daisuke! Which as we all know, they are both dead." She took a deep breath and let us all soak in this new information for a minute.

"That’s so awesome!" Ryuu, Shan and myself cried out at the same time.

Ayame sighed, "However, with that information, I also found out something else. Turns out I’m actually not exactly an immediate part of the family-"

"What?! What do you mean? Aya-Chan, of course you are!" I interrupted.

"Actually, I’m not… See, Naomi, turns out it’s very complicated. I’m part of a branch of this family that joined in under certain circumstances… the reason I’m part of this part is because… of, you know… back before we got to konaha, and I wasn’t a family member, I was just your friend. Somehow that made me a branch of this family."

I glanced over at Shizuka for a minute. I wonder if she knew that we weren’t from this world, I wouldn’t be surprised if Ayame slipped up and told her. I looked back at Ayame and frowned. "That… sucks." I commented, not being able to think of something else to say.

She frowned too. "Yeah, and what’s worst is because of that, I can’t get my second or third stage! I’m stuck on the first… meaning I can’t get any stronger—Kekkei Genkai wise anyway—so, that sucks, too…"

"What? Really?" I asked, surprised by that.

"Yep…"

We all sat there in silence…

Well, until Shizuka broke the silence. "We should train. Ayame, Shan, you two pair up, Ryuu, let’s go."

I blinked. I wish our team could train and do missions again… But… Naruto was out doing something with… Jiraiya. Sakura was… what was Sakura doing? Probably being useless? I bet myself five bucks that’s what it is. And, of course, Sasuke was being… well, Sasuke.

I brought myself out of my thoughts and stared at the team that was beginning to train. Not really knowing what else to do, I sat in the grass still, deciding to watch them for a bit. Maybe after I watch one spar I’ll go home and see what Sasuke’s up to.

I decided to watch Ayame and Shan spar. They both took out shurikens, throwing them at each other simultaneously, canceling each other out. They ran towards each other, except that Ayame disappeared before they became too close.

I’m guessing she often did that because Shan knew what to expect because he blocked it and punched her, which sent her flying a bit into the distance. Once she recovered, she got up and I saw a white glow around her fists. Telling me that she was using her kekkei genkai.

Shan, noticing this, decided he would also use his kekkei genkai. Sinking his hand into the ground like it was water. He pulled out coffins, which had small demons come out of them. Ayame punched a few of them, making her way up to Shan.

The small demons tried to claw, bite and cut Ayame, some did, but it didn’t bother her very much, she just punched them afterwards. Finally, she got up to Shan and punched him, too. He stumbled and fell on the ground, she proceeded to pin him down and call herself the victor of this battle.
