𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞

harry winks was convinced just a few weeks ago that twenty four was going to be his year but the world was not willing to allow that. allie had moved in and the couple were closer than ever. it was good considering the circumstances that the world was currently facing. the outbreak of covid-19 resulted in the uk entering lockdown. this meant that harry could no longer play football unless it was in his garden and allie could only attend online classes.

allie had been working incredibly hard on her dissertation and her final exams. she was stressed and harry could tell. he had tried to help relieve her stress by making her cups of tea and encouraging her to take breaks but sometimes, he found that it was best for him to leave her be.

the blonde girl had received her final grades from her course a few weeks ago and she had passed with flying colours. the only thing that made allie sad was the fact that she would never get to properly graduate and she couldn't be with her family to celebrate but at least she had harry.

"allie?" harry called out his girlfriend's name as he entered their shared bedroom. the blonde girl was currently doing her makeup out of boredom but also because she was doing a zoom quiz later in the evening with monique and her family.

"hmm?" the blonde girl looked up after only having done one eyebrow. she looked a bit silly but harry loved her.

"i have a special request from monique. she wants you to wear your graduation outfit for tonight." the london boy propped himself up with one arm and leaned on the doorway. allie found it to be incredibly attractive but she couldn't jump his bones when she only had half a face of makeup done.

"okay, i'll be done in ten." allie walked towards her boyfriend and gave him a soft kiss. she felt like she was addicted to his kisses and the feeling of his lips on her own.

the blonde girl kept her word and after ten minutes, she emerged from the bedroom and found the living room decorated with banners and streamers.

"happy graduation day, darling." harry stood in the middle of the living room and when she looked at the tv, he had set up a zoom call with monique, her family and even marjorie.

"oh my gosh." the blonde was gobsmacked and completely speechless. her boyfriend had done all of this for her. he was truly special.

allie jumped into harry's arms and hugged him tightly, still not quite believing how amazing he was.

"i love you." she mumbled against his lips after they shared a brief kiss, not wanting to gross out all of her friends and family.

"happy graduation, allie!" a chorus of people called out and the girl could only laugh.

"marjorie! you're here!" allie smiled at the elderly woman on the screen. marjorie's son, michael, and his family had decided to isolate with the elderly woman to make sure that she wasn't lonely and that she had access to shopping during the unprecedented times.

"yes! harry called me." marjorie winked at the taller boy who had his arm slung over allie's shoulder.

harry winks had spent weeks trying to organise this. marjorie was the last addition to the graduation line-up. he knew how much the elderly woman meant to his girlfriend despite the fact that she was only her cleaner. still, harry had decided to phone marjorie and ask her to join them on the call. michael had helped marjorie with the technology and harry knew that it would be a good surprise for allie.

"you have yourself a keeper there, lovey." allie thanked marjorie and her kind words, glad that she had approved of harry. if marjorie thought that allie had herself a keeper then allie wouldn't let him go.

the next half an hour or so was spent with allie and harry talking to marjorie, monique and allie's family. they were all proud of the blonde for graduating but they were also proud of allie's best friend for she too had graduated university.

the conversation was cut off when allie's parents announced that they had created a quiz for them all to take part in. harry knew how competitive his girlfriend got and he was just as bad considering that he competed for a living. they were positive that they would win.

after three rounds, allie and harry seemed to be cruising. the sports round was a gift for harry and for some reason, allie was quite good at general knowledge. it must have been all the times that she had watched the chase after a long day at university. she would never admit to it though. it was a guilty pleasure.

"final question," allie's mum announced and everyone got themselves ready despite knowing that harry and allie were bound to win.

"give me the name that matches this definition." allie waited in anticipation, wondering what it could be. harry could only laugh at her, finding it funny how competitive she was.

"water enters cracks in the rock and the pressure of the air bubbles causes it to crack and wear away." as soon as the words left her mother's mouth, she was telling her boyfriend what to write since they were on mute.

"it's hydraulic action. a basic definition but it's hydraulic action, an erosive force." the blonde girl bombarded her boyfriend with information so he simply handed the piece of paper over to her and she wrote down the answer.

as they went through the answers to the final round, it became apparent that harry and allie were the winners.

"well done guys! we'll call you tomorrow." allie's family said goodbye and after a bit more conversation with monique and marjorie, they all decided to call it a night.

"have i ever told you that you're the best boyfriend ever?" allie looped her arms around his neck and he had his around her waist. allie's smile was lazy, somehow feeling quite tired after doing almost nothing all day.

"i don't believe you have." harry teased and without any sort of warning, allie had pressed her lips to his and was pushing him down towards the couch.

it was a good thing that the zoom call had ended and that harry had enabled the waiting room feature because if he hadn't, almost anyone would have been able to see the two have sex.

a/n: as you can tell, this one was written quite a while ago! i am in love with harry and allie in this chapter.

i'm so sad to announce that this is the second last chapter of 'honeymoon fades'. it makes me super sad because i absolutely adore their love story and it's my first harry winks fanfiction.

what is something that is exclusive to your country? like no other country has it?
- i recently found out that tony macaroni's (one of my favourite restaurants) is only available in scotland but i guess there's a few other things exclusive to us, i just can't think of them at the moment.
