𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐰𝐨

the lockdown restrictions had been eased off after several months. the virus was more easily controlled and now, harry and allie could have a 'social bubble'. their social bubble consisted of both harry and allie's families.

it was a hot day in london so the couple had decided to take a walk in a local park with aubree, her husband mike, and theo. allie couldn't wait to see her nephew because it had been so long since she had last seen him in person. harry was also looking forward to seeing the little boy since the two had formed a great bond.

"i've missed you!" allie crouched down so that she could hug her nephew who she thought was running towards her but he bypassed her and went straight towards harry.

"i see how it is. uncle harry is your favourite." allie huffed but watched as her boyfriend lifted her nephew into his arms. it was adorable and allie quickly forgot about the grudge that she was holding against the one year old.

harry continued to walk with theo on his hip and allie suddenly had the urge to be pregnant. seeing how good her boyfriend with kids made her want some of their own but she quickly rid herself of the thoughts. allie had always wanted kids but she felt that they were still young and they would have kids when they were ready.

"come on, theo." the footballer put his nephew onto the ground and started to walk with him. theo was still a little bit wobbly as he was still gaining strength in his legs but with a little but of help and support from harry, the little man was off.

theo had recently learned how to squirt water from his sippy bottle. this wasn't very ideal for aubree and mike since their son would go around their house, squirting them both with water as if it was a water pistol. harry was the last person to figure this out.

"theo, what the-" harry cut himself off as he fell back onto the grass, wiping his face which was now dripping wet thanks to the little boy who was giggling.

"you've just been attacked by a one year old." aubree laughed at her future brother-in-law and took over from him by playing with her son.

allie had decided to sit down on the nearest bench, her ankle beginning to ache from the physical activity. it wasn't a lot but her ankle was still regaining its strength after she had broken it a few months ago. harry had been telling her to do all sorts of stretches and exercises to help her but she never listened. it was a bad habit that she had.

"your nephew is a monkey." harry laughed as he sat down beside his girlfriend, wiping the last of the water off his face with the towel that had been provided to him by aubree and mike. it had turned out to be an essential item that they now carried with them everywhere in their nappy bag. their son's habit was proving to be a bit of a nuisance.

"he is but we love him." allie sighed, watching her nephew play in the dirt. he was such an outdoor toddler. theo always wanted to be outside and playing in the dirt, even when he had the opportunity to play at the park with other children.

harry wrapped his arm around allie's shoulders and pulled her in closer to him. allie rested her head on his chest and just enjoyed the moment with her boyfriend.

"we're going to have our own family one day. you'll be mrs winks and we'll have as many kids as you want." harry sighed in contentment at the thought. he was lucky. he had found the love of his life unexpectedly and by chance. he couldn't be more grateful for the life that he had. it was simply perfect.

"i'd love that. you and i take on the world." allie smiled to herself and played with the hand that harry had resting on her shoulder.

allie couldn't believe how lucky she had gotten in life. she had met the love of her life by accident and her best friend was the one that encouraged them both to go for it. if it hadn't been for monique playing match maker, she wasn't sure if they'd be where they are right now.

allie and harry were able to picture the rest of their lives together. it was almost surreal to the both of them. they had always dreamed of finding love and finding the right person. they had always wanted to settle down with the right person and now that they had found it, allie and harry couldn't believe it.

"look at them, mike. they're destined to be together." aubree caught the couple sitting on the bench together out of the corner of her eye. she held theo in her arms as her husband sat beside them on the grass in the park.

"they are. they've been plucked out of a real life romance novel." mike laughed to himself but his words had some truth to them. harry and allie's love story was something that most people would pick up in a library or a book shop so that they could live vicariously through the characters but harry and allie didn't need to do that.

"my littlest sister has found true love." aubree whispered to herself. there was nothing better than seeing her family happy. carly had found herself love a few years back and now their youngest sister had found it too. it was something truly special.

aubree watched as the couple simply sat on the bench together in silence, watching the ducks swim in the pond. it may have seemed dull to most people but harry and allie weren't most people. they were in love with each other and as long as they had each other, they could do anything.

aubree could only hope that everything stayed the same for harry and allie because after her own, they were her favourite love story.

a/n: and here we have it, the very last chapter of 'honeymoon fades'. i am emotional about saying goodbye to allie and harry but i don't feel like their journey is quite yet finished. who knows, we might see more of them in the future.
