Edward went silent again, a tear went down his cheek this time. He was broken, Kim was someone he loved, someone that meant everything to him. He got up and scratched the wall with his I suppose hands. The scratching made a very loud noise, I decided to leave him be for a few minutes. I didn't want to make him mad.

After a few minutes passed, he stopped scratching the walls, and sat down next to me. He didn't say anything, he just looked down.

"Do you need some time alone?" I asked looking at his hands.

He nodded, still not looking at me in the eyes. I got up and headed downstairs, I wasn't going to fully leave, but at least I'll give him some time. I lay down on the hard cold floor, and try to fall asleep.

[Daytime]

I'm woken up with a loud bang, it was Edward falling. He was next to the stairs, so I assumed he fell off of them. I ran to him, and tried to help him up.

"Are you okay?" I ask, he's finally able to get up and looks at me in the eyes.

"Thank you." He gives me a small smile.

I smiled back at him, "Edward, do you want me to clarify what I'm doing here?"

He nodded, so I started to explain. From what happened to Kim, to me starting to live in the town, to the rumors, and my plan on checking if he was alive. The whole time, he stared into my eyes, with the same sad expression. He started to get teary eyed again, and tried covering his face, accidentally cutting his cheek in the process.

"Edward!" I get closer, and wipe the blood off with my sleeve, "Are you okay?"

Edward nodded, "I'm okay."

"I'll check if I have anything in my backpack." I reach for my backpack and start looking through it, I found a couple of bandaids and put one on the cut, "There we go."

Edward gave me another smile, before pointing at my backpack, "What else is in that?"

"Oh, there's couple of things. I have books, games, food, and some things in case we get hurt." I go through my backpack, taking things out and showing the items to Edward. He doesn't touch them, he simply looks at them, "Do you want anything?"

He nodded, pointing to a small box. I opened it, it was filled with cookies. I look at him, and get closer, I placed the cookie next to his mouth, and he took a bite. I stood there, I wasn't sure how to feel. It was a bit awkward, but I was happy to see him in a weird way. Before I knew it, Edward finished. I sat down next to him, and examined his hands another time and he looked at me.

"What's it like?" I ask, looking at his eyes now.

"I break everything." He said looking down at his hands.

I remember the stories, him cutting people, I feel bad for him, he just wants to be normal and happy, "I'm sorry to hear that, but I promise I'll help fix anything you break." I gave him a big smile, trying to reassure him.

"You will?" His eyes widened.

"I will." I said holding his wrist.

Edward looked at my hand, and then looked at my eyes again, "Thank you Y/N."

"No problem Edward," I let go of his wrist, and continued to look through my backpack. I pulled out a book, "Do you like poems?"

Edward nodded slowly, he seemed to have remembered something. Though he didn't say anything.

I opened the book, it was a book of poems, I started to read to him. The whole time he looked at his hands.

After a couple of poems, I looked back at Edward, he started to smile. I put the book down, and stared at him.

"Are you happy?" I ask.

He nodded, "Can I show you something?"

"Of course."

Edward and I stood up, he quickly went up the stairs and I followed him. We were back on the floor I first saw him in. It was day time so I could see my surroundings now. The room was covered with tall sheets, something was under them but I wasn't sure what.

Edward pointed to the tall sheets, "Could you take the sheets off?"

I nodded, and walked toward the item, and pulled of the sheet. It was a beautiful ice sculpture. My jaw dropped, I was in complete shock. The sculpture was amazing, it had so much detail and I loved it.

"You made this?" I knew the answer, but I couldn't help but ask.

Edward nodded, getting closer to me and the ice sculpture.

"You have a lot of talent Edward. I love it." My eyes then go to Edward, who is smiling at the ice sculpture, "Can I see you sculpting?"

Edward looked back at me, "You wan't to see me sculpting?"

I nod, with a big smile on my face.

Edward walks toward another sheet, and points to it. I go to the sheet and take it off, it was a very large piece of ice. Edward looked at the ice, and after a few seconds, he chopped away. I sat down, looking at him, I really wanted to see the end result.

After a few minutes, Edward stopped chopping, the ice was sculpted to form birds. It was a beautiful sight.

"You're so talented Edward, you really have a gift." I say looking at the sculpture.

"Thank you." Edward whispered.

I walked closer towards him, and looked at his hands. Wondering how he could do so much with something that seemed so inconvenient. Reaching out for the blades, Edward put his hands behind his back.

"You'll get hurt Y/N." His voice was soft, and he seemed worried about my safety.

I giggle, and extend my hand, "Don't worry about it. After all, I'll fix it."

Hesitantly, Edward put his hand back to perspective. I examined the blades, and putting my finger on the side of the blades, so I wouldn't get a cut. They were cold, with pieces of ice stuck to some of the blades. I admired every blade, and noticed the careful craftsmanship in each blade. Everything about Edward had fascinated me so far, from his hands, to his voice, and to his talents.

"The inventor, he wanted to make hands for you right?" I ask looking at Edward's eyes now.

Edward nodded slowly, he seemed sad at the mention of the inventor.

"Does he happen to have any blueprints or some type of notes on how to build the hands?"
