The interview finished after some time, and I was alone in the house. My thoughts were still on Edward, remembering his expression while he was talking to me at the window. I want to know how he's doing, but if I run away it'll be dangerous, for the both of us.
I get up from my couch and slowly make my way to my bed. Sorrow fills the room as I lay down. My eyes feel heavy, and I'm warm, but I can't sleep. My mind is filled with distress and worry, I can't shake it off, even after my several attempts. Small tears drop from my eyes and land on the sheet of the bed.
"Did I really do the right thing?" I whisper, looking at the ceiling.
With that I hesitantly get up from my bed, and start to pace around the house. I'm absolutely restless, I have to waste my energy somehow, might as well get some exercise. I make several circles around the house, but I can't help but feel the same.
"Why can't you just get out of my head?" The tears start coming down again, I cover my face with my hands as I feel the warm tears touching my palms.
I hear a faint knock on the door, and I secretly hope it's Edward. Asking for me to run away with him, and maybe, just maybe I'd accept. I wipe the tears off my face, and walk toward the door, and open it.
Charlie's there, an awkward smile on his face.
"Hey Y/N, I just thought I'd stop by and check up on you. Make sure that Scissor Man hasn't killed you," He chuckles.
"That's not funny," I mumble, trying not to start tearing up again.
"Is it okay if I come in?"
"Charlie it's night time, I'm trying to sleep. Can you just go away, please?"
"Come on, please. It's just a night stay. Nothing will happen, I promise," He smiled, trying to seem trustworthy.
"No, again it's night time, and I'm not feeling well," I raise my voice slightly, getting irritated.
"Fine," He sluggishly walks away, and I close the door.
I make my way back to my bed, and try to get a bit more sleep. With that I drift off into sleep.
The next day I wake up to a loud thud, and I bolt up. I run to the living room and find a frightened Edward, I could look at him more closely and he seemed to have been filled with bruises on his cheeks.
"Holy shit," I curse, surprised with his appearance.
"Y/N!" Edward smiled and gave me a tight hug, "Thank goodness you're safe."
I wrap my arms around him, I missed him so much.
"What happened to you?" I whisper, resting my hand on his cheek.
"People, saw me. They tried to pick a fight with me. I didn't fight back, I didn't want to hurt any of them."
"Oh Edward," My eyes begin to water again, and I give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Y/N, please reconsider," He asked.
I look into his eyes, his beautiful eyes. I nod, and a smile grows on my face.
