Chapter Twenty Three

((Okay so I don't really know how arrests work, I did a bit of research but of course, I'm not an expert. So if I did something wrong, I'm extremely sorry. But still, I hope you enjoy

After a few hours of paperwork, and way too much time wasted, I was finally alone. People still thought that I was being manipulated by him, so I went off with a fine. It doesn't I was any less worried, if anything I was more. What was happening to Edward? Could I do anything about it? Would I just get in more trouble?

I stood there, outside of the police station, alone with my thoughts. I hated every second of it, if I could I'd just disappear that exact moment. It hurt me to know that I was probably extremely far away from Edward.

"Why me..." I whispered to myself.

And with that, a very old man who was in a wheelchair, came over to me with a very sympathetic smile. He seemed so nice. The man was beside me, looking at me.

"Are you the girl who was with Edward Scissorhands?" He asked, there wasn't any hatred in his voice, which was a surprise.

I nodded.

"I knew him, he sure was a very nice man."

"You knew him?"

"Of course, I was the man that was supposed to arrest him. Though I didn't. I saw good in him, I wanted to leave him alone, but Jim got in the way," He sighed.

"Really? At least you tried, which was really kind of you," My voice started to get shaky, and my mind flashed back to the stories I was told about him.

"I want to try and help, this time with nobody getting hurt," He says looking up at me, "I'll tell you where he is."

With that, I began tearing up, "Oh, thank you, thank you so much."

He gave me an address, an address of another police station. Of course, I no longer had my car, so I decided to walk there. It wasn't as far away as I thought it'd be, but of course it'd take a bit to get there.

I said goodbye and once again, thanked the man. And after about half an hour of walking, I was there. The police station was a lot fancier, more high class. It was definitely well managed, and I took it in, before planning on how I'd help Edward.
