Second Chance (Edward Scissorhands x Reader)

Chapter Nine

I giggle, feeling my cheeks getting slightly warmer, "That's very nice of you Edward."

Edward slowly pulls his hand back, "You're really nice too."

My cheeks start warming up, and my heart seems to have grown ten times bigger, for such simple words, "Thanks, I really appreciate it."

We stay silent for some time, I looked off to the side, while Edward looked at me. The entire time, I was trying to hide how red I was.

"Y/N," Edward broke the silence, "Would you like me to show you the garden?"

I look back at Edward and nod. We both get out of the room, and head outside. It's day time, and the sun is shining extremely brightly. Ever since I started working on the hands I didn't really go outside, so the sun was bothering me a bit. I try to ignore it, and place my attention on the neatly cut plants that I saw when I first entered. Edward walked up to one of the plants that was cut like a swan, and examined it. A frown landed on his face, and he quickly walked back to the castle. So I stand there, alone. I start to walk around the garden and I smile at the fascinating works Edward made. Each one seemed to have so much detail, and it felt like at any moment the animals would start walking.

"Y/N! I got scissors." Edward exclaimed, making me jump slightly.

Edward walks back to the swan, and starts cutting carefully. He stood there for a few seconds, and when he was done the swan seemed more defined and well kept.

I start clapping, "Great job!"

Edward smiles, "Thank you."

(Authors note: I know this chapter was A LOT shorter, but I actually really wanted to say that I plan on writing some new things here. Yes, this story will still be my main priority, but I will hopefully be adding one story into the mix. A Mad Hatter x Reader, cause he's an amazing character and I think he's an amazing character. Hopefully I will start writing it today or tomorrow, so if anyone is interested just check out my profile and hopefully it will be there.
