Second Chance (Edward Scissorhands x Reader)

Chapter Seventeen

I rest my hand on Edward's arm, "I wouldn't let anyone hurt you after all."

"What if they hurt you?"

"You know I'm not just pretty, I'm also a fighter," I giggle.

He giggled as well, "I never saw you that much as someone who'd fight someone."

"Only on extreme occasions," I bring Edward closer and rest my head on his shoulder, "I've only gotten in maybe three fights."

"Why did you get in them?" Edward rests his head on top of mine, his voice becoming softer by the second.

"The first one was over food, second an ex friend, and third was someone who was threatening me."

"Oh," Edward whispered, looking down.

"Though that's not important! Since nothing's going to happen because nobody suspects anything," I try reassuring him

"Alright," He seemed a bit uneasy, but his posture was less tense now.

"Look, how about we go to sleep and we'll talk about this again in the morning?"

He seemed extremely hesitant. We talked through it a bit more and eventually I convinced him that we should sleep. I grabbed his hand and we headed to my room. We changed into our pajamas and layed down in bed, we could do that now since you know we were a couple. After a while we both give in to our sleep, and there are no interuptions.

I was the first to wake up, though while doing that I noticed how close Edward really was to me. His arm was around my waist and his chest was touching my back. My cheeks began warming up as I noticed the situation I was in, I tried not to move but apparently just me being awake was enough to make Edward wake up.

"Good morning Y/N," He whispered

"Good morning," I turn and face him, and give him a warm smile.

"So, what are we doing today?" Edward asks.

"I'm not really sure."

Before we knew it, the door slammed open, and two people walked in.
