Fanfic AOT Levi x Petra

Part 6

It’s been 2 months since Petra was back. A week after she returned Levi and Miki left to fight with titans. When they came back Petra told them that she wanted to fight too. Levi refused that, and told her she didn’t may fight until she was strong enough. She trained a full month, every day. And now, today, would be her first fight in 13 years. Levi took Miki apart. He wanted to talk with his daughter. Miki looked at Levi. 'What is it dad?' ‘Miki listen to me, mom is going to fight again. She starts today, but I don’t want her to get injured. I want you to stay close to her, so you can keep an eye on you. I’ll be there too, but I’ll leave if someone else need help.’ Levi said and looked really serious. He was really worried about Petra. Miki nodded. 'of course!' Levi lay his hand on her head. ‘Thanks.’ He stood up and walked to his room to put on his gear. Miki smiled and walked away.

About two hours later they arrived at the field. Levi gave commands to everyone and looked short at Miki. He wanted to make sure she would remember her task. Miki nodded at him. She would protect Petra for sure. After that the squad split up, they would meet up again when everyone killed the titans in their area. Levi left as last, he had to see in which direction Petra went. So he could follow her from a distance. Petra went with the left part of the group. Soon a titan came her way and she killed it with ease. Miki was shocked as to how good Petra was at slaying titans. Levi saw it and became a little less worried. But he stayed close to her. He heard a scream and saw Jean fall down on the ground. ‘Miki! You know what to do!’ He yelled and disappeared. Miki nodded and killed a titan coming their way. This time it was Petra's turn to be surprised. It didn’t take long before Levi came back. ‘Everything alright?’ He asked. Miki nodded. Petra saw two titans come their way and killed them both at the same time. Levi smiled, she could still fight. And she still was as good as back then. Miki smiled and looked at Levi for a bit. They didn't have to worry at all.

It wasn’t really a hard fight. It took in total 3 hours. Only two people had died, they got eaten… Levi looked around, a while ago he had to help a little group. So he left Petra and Miki, now he was looking for them. Miki was helping some wounded soldiers, while Petra was repairing her broken gear. If Levi saw this he'd stress out for sure.. having your gear broken could be deadly. Though she found a smart way out of course, but she didn't want to worry Levi. Levi saw Miki first. He sighed in relief, she was safe. Then he saw Petra, he ran at her. ‘Petra! What happened?’ 'Eh? oh it's nothing. I didn't land very well but it wasn't dangerous at all.' She said and smiled. Levi looked her in the eyes to make sure she wasn’t lying. ‘I can’t leave alone for a moment.’ He said and smiled. ‘I’m glad you’re okay.’ Petra chuckled. 'I'm glad you're okay as well. How did it go?' Levi nodded to Miki. ‘She helps the wounded soldiers. But two got eaten.’ Petra nodded. 'it's still not many though...so we should be happy.. it's better than last time I was here' Levi’s eyes became dark and he walked away. 'Levi?' Petra asked and walked after him. 'I didn't mean we shouldn't be sad about them...but if you look at former battles...it's better...I...sorry..' ‘It’s fine.’ He said. ‘Let’s go!’ He yelled at the squad. And a few minutes later they were on their way back to the hq. Petra felt stupid for saying that. It wasn't like she was trying to be mean or anything...but last time hundreds of soldiers died. Since it were only two this time, she thought they should be happy...a lot had changed in 13 years...

A while later they arrived at the hq. Levi walked to Miki. ‘Thanks for your help.’ He said and hugged her. Miki smiled and hugged back. 'No problem.' ‘But I want you to stay close to her for a few times. Maybe something goes wrong.’ Levi said. Miki nodded. 'I understand dad.' Levi smiled and walked to his room.
