Fanfic AOT Levi x Petra

Part 8

The next day Levi woke up. He remembered last night and immediately became sad. He stood up and put on his gear. He would go to the forest right now. He opened his door and Petra fell in. Levi caught her and lay her on his bed. He still was angry but not enough to leave her on the ground. He walked outside and jumped on his horse. Petra woke up and ran outside. 'Levi!' But he was already gone. He ran in full gallop over the grass. It calmed him down a little. He arrived in the wood. He didn’t expect titans there. He killed three of them and jumped back on his horse.

Petra got her gear as fast as possible. She grabbed a horse and went to the woods as well. She needed to find both Levi AND Miki now...

Levi was still searching for Miki, he thought about Petra. About what she said to him, and it made him sad. Maybe she was right? Maybe he had no feelings. But that would be weird, because he had cried a few times. But she could look through him, and sometimes she knew him better than he did. Maybe she was also right this time. He got an idea. Under his emotions which he showed was the real Levi. And he thought Petra meant that Levi, because that Levi had no feelings. How else could he take her away from searching Miki? Petra saw him and made her horse go faster. 'LEVI!!!' She had tears rolling down her face. Levi heard it. But he didn’t look, he couldn’t have her around now. He had to think. So he turned his horse, away from the path. And between the trees he used his gear to hide. Petra felt really guilty. She didn't mean it when she said he didn't have feelings...of course he had feelings...he always put up a fake cover and acted like he was the coldest person ever, but if you got to know him he actually did all that to protects his loved ones...Petra used her gear and tried to go after him. She had to make him see she was really sorry...

Levi came by a field a titan came to him. Levi saw it but he didn’t react. He stayed standing, like he waited for it to come for him. Petra's eyes widened. He couldn't be planning to...to....he couldn't do that right?!! Tears fell down her face. 'LEVI! Levi please I'm sorry! Levi!' She tried to get to him, but she was too far away. Levi saw the titan coming closer. He dropped his swords and looked at the 6 meter high monster. The titan holds his arm ready to hit the little human in front of him. tears streamed down her face. 'LEVI PLEASE!!!' Petra screamed and tried to get to him faster. Levi didn’t hear her and closed his eyes waiting for the enormous arm to come. And it came… hard. 'LEVI!!' Petra screamed and cursed herself for not being able to do anything. Levi felt bones get crushed when the gigantic hand touched him. He fled a short time and hit a tree which wasn’t far away. He fell down on the ground with his eyes closed. Petra finally reached it and quickly killed the titan. Why did Levi do this?! After she killed the titan, she went to Levi as fast as possible. 'Levi!' she said and kneeled down by him. Tears were rolling down her face. Levi was unconscious. Petra held him close and listened if his heart was still beating. 'Levi...Levi...' she whispered. He was still alive, but that was a miracle. It was obvious that he had broken many bones. Petra put him on her horse and took him to the hq. She brought him to the place they would check on him. Nurses and doctors surrounded him and took care of him, in shock that he was this injured. Petra felt terrible. She couldn't believe he had done this...why...why had she said that? it was her fault...

After what seemed like hours, they were done with taking care of him and Petra was allowed to go see him. She walked in, feeling extremely guilty. Levi was awake, he lay with open eyes. Looking at the ceiling. Petra looked at him. 'Levi..' She whispered. She did her best not to cry. Slowly Levi looked at her. ‘Petra…’ He whispered. 'Levi I-I'm sorry...I shouldn't have said that...you're the best person I've ever met and...it was stupid to say all that...I'm sorry...but please...PLEASE don't...don't do something like that....' Petra said and she couldn't help a tear falling down her cheek. Levi reached his hand for her, it hurts but he didn’t mind. He whipped her tear away. ‘No.. I’m sorry.’ He said. She hugged him soft, making sure she didn't hurt him. 'Levi please don't do something like that ever again...I don't want to lose you...I know a lot of shit has happened but there are happy memories as well...so please don't...' Levi felt stupid. How could he have done this? It was selfish to leave her behind. He was selfish, exactly what Miki had said 6 years ago. ‘’I don’t want a dad who is mean and selfish.’’ That was what Miki had said. And she was right. After all those years, and she was still right. He hadn’t the right to love Miki or Petra... 

 'Please Levi...I love you...I need you...so...please...everyone always thinks you're cold, but you actually do it to protect your loved ones...’ Petra said. Levi looked at her. He felt bad. But if she still loves him he wouldn’t let her go. ‘I’m sorry.’ He said again. 'Don't be sorry....but please...just stay..?' Petra asked and looked at him with sad eyes. 'You're sweet, nice and caring...all deep inside. But the moments you show it you truly are an amazing person... Levi smiled. ‘Thanks.’ Petra softly kissed him and looked in his eyes. 'Get better soon..'
