Armin ran after her. 'Annie please!' Annie stood still and turned around. 'I-I thought you were still in the crystal...Annie I.. all those years...' He tried to say, but he was at a loss of words. Annie walked further. What was he doing? 'Annie please..' Annie sighed. She hoped she didn’t have to do this. Her ring opened and a sharp point came out of it. She cut her finger and changed into a titan. Armin's eyes widened and he looked at her in shock. Why was she doing this? Did she really hate him that much? Annie turned around and started to run, to  the wood. Armin used his gear to follow her. Luckily he had them on. 'Annie please wait!' He yelled and went after her. They reached the wood. Annie saw Armin was still following her. She stopped running and waited for him to come close. Armin came closer and looked at her. 'Please, Annie!!! Don't flee!!' But Annie grabbed him and hold him tight in her hand. Armin looked at her with sad eyes. He didn't look scared, more like disappointed. 'Annie...I'm sorry. If you're going to kill me now that's fine...but let me tell you something before you do...I missed you. And...I love you. I have for all these years...' he said and hid his teary eyes. The titan looked at him for a while. Then she put him down on the ground and sits down with her back to him. her head hung forward. 'Y-you want me to get you out..?' Armin asked. She only made a strange sound. Armin got out his swords and cut her neck open. He tried to pull Annie out and finally succeeded. Annie opened her eyes and looked at Armin. Armin looked back at her, not knowing what to say or do. Annie stood up. ‘I never planned to kill you.’ 'e-eh..?' Armin looked at her shocked. 'Then why...what was..' Annie shrugged. ‘I don’t know.’ Armin looked at the ground. She didn't know...what was he supposed to say or do now? Annie sits down under a tree. She couldn’t tell him could she? It was dangerous to keep him here. ‘Annie?’ Armin asked. She looked up. ‘Yes?’ 'When did you get out of the crystal..?' Annie looked down. ’10 years ago.’ Armin was shocked. 'I...see...' he said. Annie looked up. ‘Why?’ 'I just wondered..' he said and sat down next to her. 'It's been a long time...' She nodded. ‘I missed it.’ Wow wait, what was she saying? Armin looked at her. What did she mean exactly? Annie looked away. Was she blushing? What was wrong with her? 'I missed you.. Annie..' Armin said. Annie realized that what she was going to say would be stupid. ‘Me too.’ Armin felt his heart skip a beat. 'A-Annie?' She sighed. How many questions does he want to ask. ‘Yes?’ 'Uhm...about what I said...when you in titan form..uhm...you....can think anything about it....you may even forget if you want to.. but...I'm glad you now at least know it..' Annie smiled. ‘It’s fine.’ WHAT was she doing? She never smiled! Armin felt his heart flutter and smiled too. He didn't know what else to do. Annie looked at him. ‘Armin?’ ‘Yeah?’ ‘Isn’t it time for you to go back?’ Annie asked. ‘It’s not smart to stay.’ She turned her head again. Why? Why was she thinking this? Of course he goes back. Idiot. ‘But...I don't want to leave you...isn't it lonely?' Armin asked. Annie nodded. ‘But once a week I visit Kite, so it’s fine. Plus I don’t want you to get hurt here.’ What am I saying? She thought. ‘Annie? Is Kite the boy you were talking with? I know it's rude to ask but...who is he to you?' Annie looked at him and stays quiet for a while. ‘Kite was the first one who didn’t see me as a monster. A year after I escaped I… collapsed in the wood. He found me and we became friends.’ Weird, now I’m talking much. What is wrong with me? What is he doing to me? Annie asked herself. Armin looked at her. 'I see...well.. it's great you made a friend' he said. Does that mean she thinks I think of her as a monster? But that's not true.. Armin thought. Annie looked at him. ‘What are you thinking about?’ He's... not the only one who know you're not a monster..' Armin answered. She looked up. Did he mean he also didn’t see her as a monster? ‘I don't think you're a monster, Annie...' Armin said. Annie smiled. ‘Thanks.’ Armin smiled too. They were quiet for a while. Annie stood up. ‘It’s late, you should go back.’ Armin looked her in the eyes. 'I.. don't want to go back..' Annie looked back and smiled soft. ‘Then stay.’ Armin smiled. He was happy Annie smiled and he could stay with her. She sits down next to him again. It was obvious that she was tired. 'Do you want to rest for a bit? You could sleep if you want..' Armin said. Annie lay her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. Armin smiled soft. ‘I love you.’ Annie whispered and fell asleep. Armin's eyes widened. Had he heard that riight? Had Annie just said she loved him? He looked at her and smiled soft. 'I love you too Annie' he whispered.
