You Were Beautiful (DAY6' YOUNGK)

"Mommy!" Tala exclaimed.

"Why are you still awake? It's almost midnight," I asked her while brushing her soft and long hair.

"I'm sorry," she looked at me while pouting. Of course, she knows my weakness. Hindi ko matitiis ang ka-cutan niya. "I was waiting for you,"

"Did you drink your milk?" She nodded.

"Shall we sleep then?" Tanong ko ulit at tanging tango lang ulit ang naisagot nya. I bet she's already sleepy. Tinitiis niya lang. Mas sanay kasi siya na ako ang katabi. Pagod din ako kaya mabilis akong nakatulog, hugging Tala beside me.

"Gumising na kayo pareho! Nakahanda na ang almusal," pambubulabog sa amin ni Light. Nakita ko naman si Tala na nagkukusot na ng mata. Agad ko siyang sinaway dahil hindi ito maganda para sa mata. Lumabas na si Light sa kwarto ko nang nasiguro niya na hindi na kami babalik ulit ni Tala sa pagtulog. Tatayo na ako at didiretso sanang banyo nang tawagin ako ni Tala.

"Mommy," she called me while extending her arms asking me to carry her. Tala is almost seven pero nagpapakarga pa din. Masyado ko kasing bine-baby. Mabigat na siya but I didn't complain. Kinarga ko siya at sinama sa banyo. Sabay kaming naghilamos at nag toothbrush.

Tuwang tuwa sa akin si Tala at ginagaya ang bawat galaw ko. "Mommy, you're so beautiful," bigla niyang sambit habang nakatitig sa akin. I smiled at her genuinely and uttered a 'thank you'.

"How's the concert last night, ate?" Tanong bigla sa akin ni Light habang sinusubuan ng pagkain si Tala. Wala akong balak alalahanin ang mga kaganapan kagabi pero inumpisahan na ni Light ang topic. I told her it was fine and did not bother on explaining it any further.

Nang matapos ang almusal, sumama si Tala kay Light na mamalengke. Naiwan ako sa bahay mag-isa. Si mama ay paniguradong nasa restaurant na. Mamayang hapon na lang ako pupunta doon.

Bumalik ako sa kwarto ko at nagisip ng gagawin. Nakita ko ang cellphone ko na nakalapag sa aking bedside table. I wanted to check on something but my pride is not letting me. At the end, my pride lost and my curiosity won. I grabbed my phone and surfed the net.

DAY6 (Korean: 데이식스; RR: De-i-sik-seu) is a South Korean rock band under the label JYP Entertainment. The group marked their debut on September 7, 2015 with EP The Day, which peaked at No.2 on Billboard's World Album Chart a week following its release. The band consists of five members: Sungjin, Jae, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon. Originally a six-piece band, DAY6 became a quintet after keyboardist Junhyeok left in February 2016. All of the DAY6 members are majorly involved in writing, composing and producing the band's music.

Hmm. Things weren't that easy for them, really.

I looked for more information about them and some individual member's profile. I am really curious about Brian. For the past years, did he change? I bet he did. Change is the only constant thing in this world.

Naligaw ako sa ilan sa mga youtube videos nila. I watched their Congratulations music video. That was painful. I mean, for the guy in the MV, it was painful. Seeing someone you once loved now happy with someone else.

Hindi ko alam kung nakakailan na ako pero napunta na din ako pati sa mga live performances nila. Apparently, nahirapan sila nung una because Koreans preferred idol groups. It was hard for them to find an event or venue where they could perform.
