The night I finally realised I had to leave, there was a thunderstorm. The thunder rolled through the silence of the night as I laid in bed, yearning to be in your arms.

I only ever wanted the best for you, I only ever wanted to be enough for you.

You made me feel alive when we were together, like there was electricity running through my veins. But sitting here watching the lightning fork throughout the dark night sky, I felt nothing. Its strange how something that once made you feel so alive can take every fiber of your being with their absence.

You told me I could achieve anything, that I could run the world and hold it all in my grasp. I just hope that leaving everything behind, my friends, my family and you is the right decision.
