Today was one of those days where I was happy. Not a single thought of you entered my mind, until I bumped into your housemate.
He told me he misses me around the house, making coffee for us both at the crack of dawn. He misses seeing my shoes in the living room and my bag thrown haphazardly on the couch.
I wonder, did you ever notice those little details about me? Have you noted the absence of my toothbrush in your bathroom, or missed the sight of my lip balm on your nightstand?
I don't even remember what I left at your house. I just hope she knows that the pink toothbrush is mine. The painting in your living room? I was the one who helped you pick that out. The LED lights in your bedroom? Have you told her that we set them to red when we spent our countless nights losing ourselves in each others body? I wonder if you told her I bought you that blanket on the end of your bed? So many questions that I'll never know the answer to.
I just hope she knows how unpredictable you are. How you can just suddenly decide that someone who is willing to give you the world isn't good enough. How it was all just a game to you.
