)Kayla's POV(

#RECAP#

Kayla- "next time, let's not jump off the building."

She softly chuckled and whispered a 'thank you' and walked to the nurse that was there in the crowd, and she walked away. The crowd was looking at me and starring quietly. But the adrenaline ended and was quickly replaced with pain and heat.

Kayla- "Does anyone else think it's a little hot outside?"

And I fell to my knees and blacked out, falling to the ground.

*Matts POV* (bet I surprised you there)

I watched as she fell to the ground. I ran up to her, as well as Sophia, Lily and the guys. Lily tired to take Kaylas hand, but quickly removed her hand when she touched her.

Lily- "shit! She shocked me! Owww......." She exclaimed, clutching her own hand.

Sophia tried the same as well, as well as some of the other guys. But the same happened, they got shocked on skin- to -skin contact.

Matt- "guys come on. Stop over reacting, we need to get her to the nurse or clinic."

I reached over and took her hand, checking if she still had her pulse. The pulse was still there just not as strong. But the only weird thing is......

I didn't get shocked

Seeing I am probably the only one who can touch her- without getting shocked that is -I scooped her up, off the ground, and I hold her bridal style. While my friends look at me with a confused look.

Matt- "Are you just going to look at me like that or are you going to help me get Kayla to the clinic?"

Sophia- "let's go. Quickly. We don't know why your fine but I don't want to stay here long enough to find out."

We go to the clinic, the crowd surrounding us making a pathway to the clinic inside the school. We ran through the empty halls, racing to get to the clinic on time.

Lily- "I think this happened before, how Kayla passed out and her eyes turned purple."

We look at her with a confused look as we step inside one of the clinics rooms. Since the doctors can't touch her, only me, I had to put her in the room and put the IV needle and breathing mask on Kayla. Paying attention to everything the doctor is explaining.

Carter- "what do you mean?"

Lily- "I'm saying this isn't the first time Kayla passed out like this."

Jack G- "care to explain?" He sarcastically says.

Sophia- "jack! Don't be rude." She scolded him.

Making Jack j and Nash snicker at Jack G, I swear he is whipped already.

Taylor- "Shush. Let Lily finish!" Says getting tired of the side conversations.

Lily- "thank you," She sighs "Kayla only passed out and her eyes turned purple once before this time. It happened like 5 years back. And even I barely remember it, my memory of what happened was burry.

We were in the car singing to 'I Love It by Iconic Pop' yelling out lyrics to at the top of our lungs. Kayla's dad was driving and Kayla mom was in the passenger seat. While me and Kayla had the window seats in the backseat. Adam having to listen to us siting in the middle.

Suddenly, a deer runs out into the snowy, winter, empty road. Causing the car to jerk over off the road. The car rolls on the ground, and slams into a tree. The car had been rolling frontwards, killing Kayla's parents and Adam instantly. And I was slowly losing my sight as black spots fill my vision.

Kayla was not in the rolling car, she had fallen through the broken backseat glass window. She wasn't wearing her seat belt. Kayla came to me since I was still awake and in a daze.

She had my face cupped in her hands and looked straight into my eyes. Her eyes teary as tears continued to fall down her face. My eyes closed, just as her eyes grew purple and a light flashed before my very eyes.

We both woke up in the hospital, Kayla had passed out, due to loss of energy. And I had been healed mostly. Only scratches or cuts from the glass of the window, the same as kayla. Only hers was more bigger since she flew through the window. I personally knew that was one of worst days of Kayla's life."

At least we know that Kayla will be fine and not dead. But I can't help but feel bad for Kayla. Watching her parents and sibling die in front of you and your best of friends slowly die in front of you is horrible.

I little after, the doctor had came into the room, telling us we had to leave. Slowly, one by one, we all walked out of the small clinic room.

Before I left, I stood next to Kayla's bed. And kissed her forehead, saying a few words to her.

"I will always be your protector ......."
