Hey everyone :)

I noticed some confusion surrounding Jessie - my bad I probably should have mentioned where she came from or something before hand xD. Anywho, she is a character I almost completely plucked out of thin air. I say almost completely because I kinda based some of her characteristics off of my own sister Jess (who is a complete idiot may I add - just kidding Jess, you're only 3/4 idiotic (; )

So yeah, hope that clears up any remaining confuddlement! :)

I'm sorry for the short chapter, but I'm just so busy at the moment so I tried to do a bit of writing when and where I could :)

PERCY'S POV:

When it came to battle strategies, there was no better person for the job than Annabeth Chase. Granted, Percy'd had experience with drawing up plans for fighting, as had most demigods, but being a child of Athena gave Percy's girlfriend a distinct advantage.

Every person currently in the New York Institute was assembled in the weapons room of the Institute, crammed around a large table that was covered in maps.

Percy watched as Annabeth switched the positions of Clarisse and Grover around yet again, analyzing the new change critically before moving them back to their original places. They had decided the most logical thing to do in the face of their looming problem was to draw Valentine's armies to a place where they would have the advantage of planning and positioning on their side.

"If we can get some water onto the top floor, Percy can use that; there's already a fountain up there where we can store it; I'm not certain what state it's in though." Annabeth said, circling a small picture on the map on the desk in front of her. Percy assumed the picture was supposed to represent the previously mentioned fountain, but it was so small he was having a hard time making any link between the image and 'fountain'.

You see, though they had decided to pick somewhere to fight themselves, it was a lot easier said than done. First they'd had to factor in the size of their forces, and figure out the best way to hinder their enemies' forces; then they'd had to decide on a location where no mortals would get caught in the crossfire. They had spent hours pouring over a map of New York and the surrounding areas until finally they'd decided on a old abandoned shopping mall. It was scheduled for demolition in a few months time so any damage they caused to it wouldn't matter and the mist could shield whatever happened inside from the mortals to some extent.

Cliche as it was for a final showdown, it was an ideal choice - if they split their forces between the four floors of the mall they could also split the enemy army into smaller, more manageable chunks. They still had the problem, however, of who was going to be where.

"What do you think Percy?" Asked Thalia, looking up from the map. All eyes turned to him.

Percy rubbed the back of him neck with a sigh, feeling the weight of stress on his shoulders "Yeah, I can get some water up there before the fighting starts then I'll be able to take out most of the monsters and demons on that floor. I'll only need a few other people with me, you can send more to the lower floors then."

"Okay, so we'll put Percy up there with Isabelle, Simon and I." she placed more pieces on the map of the fourth floor, then analyzed the number of allies they had left to spare. "We've got about 20 campers who are able to come when we need them and Tyson might be able to get there in time with a few Cyclopes though we'll have to discount that just in case; plus there's Luke's wolves who might help, provided they're willing to."

"Put Nico and I on different floors. We'll have children of the big three on most of the floors then at least." Thalia suggested, getting a nod of acceptance from Nico, who was stood leaning against a wall with Lucy at his side.
