Alarm clocks are just usefully useless. I mean, they choose the worst time to ring. I slam my hand against it and hear it fall but I don't even bother to pick it up.

I turned around, to get a bit more cosy but the sunlight streaming through my curtains was not having it.

Why does the sun decide to show up so early?!

Frankly speaking, I hate Mondays. Yes, I know.... Everyone hates Mondays but I hate it more. Like why isn't Monday just included to the weekend. It can't possibly hurt that much.
I just sigh, there really is nothing I can do, I have to work or I won't get to keep a roof over my head nor will I get to eat and then I will finally die a miserable death. Hahaha

Dragging my lazy self out of bed, I walk into the bathroom and take the quickest shower possible. Practically running out of my apartment immediately I had stuffed my mouth with a small helping of food.
Don't think I don't like food because I love it. On a very normal day I am what you might call a major foodie! I eat quite a lot but I have a 'good' body so I could eat a full cow and barely look like I ate at all. I do have curves in the right places and I looked anything but malnourished. If anything, I kinda looked plump.

"Good morning Barbie," Mrs. Claudianne Charles greeted me. She was a rather plump woman, with amazing hair that was almost entirely grey. Honestly, Claudianne (strange name right?) was like a mother to me. Scratch that, she was a mother to me! My very own fairy godmother.

She's also my boss though. It hardly seems so on most days because of how playful she usually is. For the past five years I have worked with her and we have grown found of each other.

"A pleasant morning to you," I chirped happily.

"You are a bit late today, Williams left not too long ago." She said with a smirk. She knows how much I like Williams. He is one of our patient's grandson, and I had this secret crush on him. Well... Who wouldn't? He is the entire package. As good as they come.

I could feel the heat rush up to my cheeks.
"Well, I wasn't in luck today I must say." I laughed nervously while frantically trying to hide my blush behind my curly ebony black hair.

"Oh darling, no matter how hard you try I can still see the blush." She breathed out. "Honestly young people this days are just so naive." She laughed. She had always been of the opinion that I go and speak to Williams for once but I don't think I will be able to bring myself to do a thing like that.
I smile to myself, I can't be the one doing the talking. I will just keep praying that he notices me at some point.

I rush out not giving her the chance to start a lecture on how to win a man or to make him notice you. I really couldn't be having that this morning.

"Good morning Mrs. Johnson" I said with a hearty smile.

Mrs. Johnson looked up at me, "Who are you?" she asked, "and I am not Mrs. Johnson, am not even married" she said looking at me like I was crazy.
I smiled, gave her her medication and left the room.

Yes... I worked at a home for patients with Alzheimer's disease. In the first month of my work here I introduced myself to this patients every morning but I soon got tired and just smiled at them when they acted all dumb.

Moving on to my favorite patient's room, Mrs. Delucas, I offered her the same cheerful greeting and she answered me with a smile. She also forgets everything but she is very cheerful.

"Good morning darling, I don't think we have met before, but I must say... You have the most beautiful hair" she said looking up at my hair in wonder. She says that every morning so I gave a usual Thank you, with a wide smile.
