"Seevali! Get your ass in this car now!" Laura yelled from outside the dorm.
Eva laughed at her friend, "Anyone would think your fiance was performing,"
"You're acting like I haven't been a fan of Niall for a while and like this isn't one of the greatest accomplishments of all time. Stop rubbing it in." Laura said sternly before unlocking the car.
"I didn't choose this life. Well, actually I literally did. But I'm sure your Niall will come around soon." Eva smiled as Laura began driving. "But I'm sure it'll be hard because Niall is one of a kind," Eva snickered before Laura groaned and lightly her arm.
The girls drove to The Forum and were able to find Richard after various calls from him.
"You finally made it, she'll show you to your seats. Again, don't worry, Niall doesn't know." Richard said quickly before disappearing into the back of the stage.
Eva and Laura turned to the young girl and followed her to the reserved seats.
"Eva?" Eva turned as her name was called. She was met with a girl around her age.
"It's you!" She exclaimed. "Can I get a picture?" She asked and Eva nodded.
"Sure thing,"
"I'll take it," Laura volunteered and snapped a picture of Eva with the random girl.
"Thank you! By the way, you and Niall are so cute. Like goals." She said before walking away.
Soon enough more people started noticing that Niall's girlfriend was at the show.
"Enjoy the show guys! Make sure to scream extra loud when he's trying to be funny, it really boosts his ego." Eva commented with a smile to the group of people around her.
Meanwhile Niall was scrolling through his Twitter feed and saw a picture of a fan with Eva. He liked it and wasn't going to think much of it until he read the caption,
"At The Forum waiting to see my husband and met his girlfriend, whatta world. #streamheartbreakweather"
Niall immediately went to call Eva.
"Hello?" She answered.
"You're not at work, are you?"
"No, I'm not but you are." She smiled.
"In a few minutes, yes. Eva, you're here?" Niall asked with excitement and giddiness.
Eva bit her lip before responding. "I guess you figured it out. Yes, I'm here. I brought Laura, too. It was supposed to be a surprise."
"You do realize I can't see past the stage lights, right?"
"I didn't but true love conquers all, Niall. Even electrical, vision blinding ones. You would've sensed that your other half was there." She chuckled and he laughed.
"Fuck off! Come back here! Fuck it, I'm going out!" Niall said determined while getting up from the sofa in his dressing room.
"Niall, no! You're about to perform, we can hang out afterward! Richard told me you don't have a show tomorrow so it's okay." Eva said worried about what would happen if the star of the show came out 10 minutes earlier into a crowd of eager teens.
"Fine, but I miss you! Ugh, this is so amazing!"
"Oh my god, I see Lewis!" Eva exclaimed, cutting Niall off. "He's like peeping his head out from backstage." She laughed.
"He's been doing that every show, dunno why. He's a weird lad." Niall laughed.
"A good friend though, I imagine. I'm sure you need those now more than ever."
"Yea, a bit."
"I'm excited to see you, Niall. And not just because I get to see you but because I want to see you perform, like you're seriously talented. I have a request, however."
"I'm all ears, my love." Niall hummed in response.
"I know its not on the setlist,
"You want me to play Since We're Alone?" Niall figured and Eva began to blush.
"Yes..." She confirmed. "It just reminds me of when we first started dating and... and I don't know. It's a good song, Niall. I love it."
"And I love you, so I will play it, of course," Niall said.
"I love you, too. And not just because you're playing me the song. Although it does have 95% to do with it."
"What's the other 5% percent?"
"Your swagger. Absolutely your swagger." She replied. Niall scoffed and rolled his eyes knowing she was enjoying bringing up cringey memories.
"You're evil,"
"Niall, you were so adorable. I honestly think we could've been best friends. Total opposites but best friends." Eva mentioned and Niall thought about meeting Eva when he was younger.
"I'd be getting married pretty early." Niall stated and Eva laughed.
"Oh, Lewis coming out, gotta go and support your friend."
"Alrighty, I'll see you in a bit. Wait where are you?"
"Love will guide you," She said quickly and hung up.
Niall shook his head as he heard fans cheer for Lewis as he began his setlist.
It had only been a little over three months since Niall started his tour and he was finishing up his US portion so he was excited to see Eva before he left the country.
He wondered how Eva was coping with him leaving, what she did when she was sad or happy. Often times he'd hear about her bad days in their late-night calls through her ranting and other times it'd be her snoring.
But they were making it work and he was happy.
Once Lewis was finished with his set, he introduced Niall, and Eva's heart started racing.
She was finally going to see Niall in person after such a long time of being separated.
"Hello, beautiful Los Angeles," Niall said into the microphone as he adjusted his guitar strap.
"Now, you people know that all shows are special to me but this show is exceptionally special because my girlfriend, Eva, is here." He smiled directly at her and she made a heart with her hands. Niall raised his hands and mimicked her actions.
"Crazy part is, I didn't even know she was coming until one of you posted her and I'm her boyfriend." He said and the venue filled with laughter.
"Wow, I'm funny." Niall said softly and Eva shook her head proudly at her minions.
Niall introduced the first song and began playing as the crowd cheered and sung along. Eva leading all of them, singing every word, drumbeat, and guitar strum. Her entire being resonated with happiness and pride for her fiancee.
The night was coming to an end while Niall began speaking.
"So like I said earlier, Eva is here," He said and the crowd cheered. "Yes, she's pretty great. Well, she's requested a song so because she is my fiancee, soon to be wife, here is Since We're Alone." And the venue was silent for a second before the crowd erupted with cheers and applause.
Eva's mouth was opened in shock and she brought her hands to cover it. Just like that, their engagement was announced. Laura wrapped her arm around Eva as people around her congratulated her.
Like the rain on a sunny day,
And as the song began, the two sang solely to each other, connected, despite the hundreds of people surrounding them.
