Niall was laying on the couch meanwhile Lewis brought him a bowl of cereal.
He hadn't gotten up from his couch since Eva left it. It was Wednesday. She left on Monday.
"C'mon, mate. Eat!"
"Lewis, if I have to taste another single piece of artificially flavored fucking Fruity Pebbles I will literally lose me mind." Niall murmured.
"Here I am, doin' you a favor and this is how I'm treated. What'd she see in you, man?" Lewis said as he sat next to his friend.
Niall glared at him and Lewis just patted his leg.
"What're you gonna do, mate?" Lewis asked.
"Wait."
Lewis rolled his eyes. He understood that Niall was upset but seeing Niall unclean and just unproductive was bothering him.
"Get up," Lewis pushed his legs off the couch. Niall groaned and frowned at his friend's actions.
"Get up, you cunt. Or what? D'you forget what life was like before her? You were perfectly fine. She has a choice to make. You got to be prepared for anything, lad."
"This is what life was like before her! Miserable, lonely, and fucking boring. I was calling Barbara every week basically asking her to leave Dylan for me." Niall yelled back before rolling over to ignore his friend.
"I was fucking pathetic,"
Lewis sighed as he looked at his solemn friend. "Are you sure this isn't just you imagining things in your head? You know making them seem more serious than they actually were? You've only known her a month or so, Niall."
"What if I am? I don't get too many chances at an actual relationship, where she likes me for me. Where she doesn't know my past or present for that matter and just sees me for who I am. Not what I can offer her." Niall ranted.
"I won't take me too long to realize what's real and what isn't," Niall said as he looked into Lewis's eye. Lewis sighed and gave his friend a half-smile before Niall turned around.
"Now, leave me alone to my sorrows. Wake me up when she's here." Niall said.
Lewis shook his head and walked into the kitchen to fill a cup with water. He walked back to Niall and slowly poured the liquid over Niall's head.
Niall didn't move. "Now I don't have to shower, thank you," Niall responded, his voice muffled.
"You have a meeting with your team in an hour. You just released an album, Niall. You have to tour. Whatever was going on between you and that girl... it was gonna have to come to an end regardless, mate." Lewis said crouching down to Niall.
Niall rolled over to reveal his teary eyes and red nose.
"We would've made it work, Lew."
Lewis nodded, "Sure, buddy sure."
He got his friend to get into the shower, meanwhile, he picked out his clothes.
As they walked out of the apartment, Niall thanked Lewis for taking care of him before Lewis called Niall ungrateful and their silliness resumed.
Eva hadn't left her dorm for almost a week but her reasons were different from Niall's. Niall was sad and wanted to be with Eva, Eva was sad and wanted to be alone. Not swarmed by paps or teenage girls curious about her boyfriend.
Since she couldn't go back to work because Malone was worried for her safety, her week consisted of endless research on Niall's career.
She'd watched his audition, all the One Direction diaries, most of their interviews, and all of Niall Horan's best and funniest moments. Not to mention the music.
She'd quickly picked up on the "chonce" reference which made her laugh because she adored his accent.
But with the music came the fame which meant all his relationships were practically documented.
Barbara Palvin, Celene Helin, Melissa Whitelaw, Hailee Steinfeld, and possibly Selena Gomez.
Eva was never one to compare herself to others but in this circumstance is was difficult not to.
Laura entered Eva's room. She saw her friend under a blanket staring at her computer screen.
"What're you looking at?" Laura asked.
"Niall Horan and Hailee Steinfeld Cutest Moments," Eva replied biting her nail.
"Eva," Laura rolled eyes as she made her way on Eva's bed.
"I know, I know. But it's like. I can't stop watching. She's an artist. And she acts. And she's pretty like. Exactly his type." Eva whined.
"Okay, but is he still with her?" Laura asked looking at Eva. Eva just glared, she'd heard this a million times before.
"You already know what I'm going to say. It's obviously because they weren't meant to be. She wasn't 'his type'." Laura replied.
"Eva, you have this man literally waiting for your response. He's waiting for you. He wants you. Not any of them." Laura said as Eva laid her head on her shoulder.
"But what if we go public, everyone knows who I am, I change my whole life only for us to break up in a few months?" Eva said.
"Well, I can't tell you the future but will you regret not trying it? Will you regret passing on dating a good guy in order to maintain the comfort of your normal life?" Laura asked. Eva sighed.
"I really like his music, he's good."
"Yea no shit."
"And he's so pretty. Like, look at this." Eva noted and showed Laura a picture of Niall on Instagram.
"Beauty," Laura said and Eva laughed.
"I miss him," Eva said simply.
"Well, muchacha. You got your answer. Go get your man, you know damn well he'd be happy to see you." Laura said.
"And enough comparing yourself to these girls, you are all beautiful. They're pretty and so are you. All of you are perfect with or without Niall Horan."
"Except, I'd be a little more content with Niall Horan." Eva joked.
"Wouldn't we all." Laura sighed.
They laughed before they got comfortable and watched Just Go With It on Netflix. Adam Sandler could always make Eva feel better. He was like her American dad that solely existed to make her laugh.
Needless to say that both Eva and Niall were finding ways to distract themselves from the obvious. They wanted to be with each other.
