CHAPTER 4

A WEEK LATER

You spent the whole week getting informations about Kim Taehyung. As much as you were excited to meet your old friend again, you were also careful about not revealing your real identity. If you gave out one hint also, it was your end. After all, he was the son of a Mafia.

You asked his friends and neighbors about his regular schedule to get deeper information.

Once you acquired all the information, you felt that you were ready.

Y/N's POV

I spent the whole week finding out about Taehyung. My main on this mission was to not disclose my real identity.

I packed my luggage and another bag containing all my gadgets. I gave that bag to Jimin, who was a guy in my team, specialized in the field of data. Jimin, Suga, Dean, Sara, and Hana came to me to wish me good luck. Even though it had been just a week, I had grown close to all of them. They were great people to work with, not always serious, and kept the mood light, but when coming to work, they made sure to make it perfect and leave nothing behind.

Everyone was out of their cabins to bid me goodbye. Well, nobody knew if this was the last time I was gonna see them or not.

I had to completely change my identity. Uncle Max gave me my passport, with a name Lisa Mariakosh. That was my new name.

I left the place with Mark. There was a long silence between us. Finally, Mark started.

" so, it's the big day," he said with a weak smile.
" well, yea," I replied looking at him.
" how do you feel? Nervous?" he asked with a worried face.
" well, everyone is. But I've to do this. I lost my loved ones because of them. I can't let this just be." I replied quietly. I gave him a reassuring look.
" great. All the best" he gave me a thumbs-up. I smiled.

We went to the car. The roof opened automatically and before I knew it, we were already driving away from the headquarters. We were going back to the airport from where I would hire a taxi to get to the Apartments. We were taking the long cut just incase Taehyung was home and he would see Mark dropping me.

I was nervous. I was nervous because I would be lying to the person I loved once, my really close childhood friend. Well, at least they will be arresting him and not killing. He was after all just used as a bait to get to his dad. I don't know why but I felt really bad.

I must've been really absorbed in my thoughts because I didn't see that we had already reached the airport. I was disappointed that we were up early. I.......wanted to spend more time with......Mark.

That guy was really sweet. He was Uncle Max's son.

I got off, and so did Mark. He came to me holding my luggage.

" you have the passport right?" he asked
" Yeah, I do," I said and looked at him.

He looked at me tenderly, as if he was about to cry at any moment. Suddenly, he came closer to me, still staring at me deep in the eyes. I knew what was going to happen next. I let myself flow in. I closed my eyes as I felt his lips on mine. So soft yet so powerful.

He put one hand on my waist and the other one holding my head. We savored each other. Finally, I gave him the entrance, and our tongues, fighting for dominance. None of us cared whether we were in public or anyone was watching us. All we wanted was to remember this moment.

Finally he pulled and I opened my eyes. We stared at each other until we heard the taxi honk. It was Jimin waiting for me. I hugged Mark and made my way to the taxi. I dropped my luggage back in the tank and sat on the front seat.

" Is everything ready?" he asked
" yes everything is ready and so m I " I said with a reassuring smile.
" Great then let's go. And uh, by the way, you both make a great couple," he said winking.
I just smiled at him and he started driving.

[ TIME SKIP]

We had reached the building. I had some money with me. Jimin gave me a smile and shook my hand. " All the best," he said to me.

I took my luggage and made my way to the reception. I gave my passport and paid her for the apartment and took the lift to the 4th floor.

406. There I was, standing in front of his apartment door. I took a deep breath and rang the doorbell......
