CHAPTER 9

I looked up, only to find Yeonsu looking at me back again. I was so happy, he was awake, he was out of the coma.

" H-Hyung, w-what's h-happening?" he said in a very feeble voice.

" Nothing Yeonsu, you just had a small accident. But you are quite alright now. Don't worry everything's fine now."

" W-will I-i d-die?"

" No, you won't. You are awake now. Wait here lemme call the doctors."

" D-don't l-leave m-me."

" I'm here. But we need the doctor to check you. Give me 2 mins."

I ran out of the room to find the doctor. I went into the doctor's ward and shouted, " He is awake. come fast. He is awake"

The doctor dropped his cup and ran along with some nurses.

We reached the room and they immediately started checking his status.

[TIME SKIP]

It was already 1.00. I hadn't informed Y/N yet, nor could I tell her that I wouldn't be coming home. I just hoped that she wouldn't worry much but I couldn't say anything. I was planning to stay the night at the hospital with my brother. I hadn't eaten anything from the morning, so a couple suggested me to go to a famous restaurant nearby. I had a little money so I ate and went back to the hospital.

My brother was resting so I decided to get some sleep too and I laid down there on the sofa.

AUTHORS POV

Meanwhile, you were getting really worried. It was almost mid-night and Taehyung hadn't still come home. You remembered him mentioning about the company he was going for an interview, and so you decided to call them.

* ring ring*

" Hello is this the XXXXXXX company?"
" Yes, it is. How may I help you?"

" Uh, well today, at about 9 in the morning, a young man had come for an interview named Taehyung. Can you tell me where he is or can be?"
" uh yes we had a recruitment today and this guy had shown up. Well, can I know who you are?"

" I'm Lisa, his roommate. Well, he left in the morning at 8 but he still hasn't shown up. I feel there is something wrong and I want to confirm a few things before calling the police."

" oh, well I don't know where he must be but after his interview was over he got a phone call. He had a really shocked expression on his face. Also, he dropped his phone and I think some part of it broke. After the phone call was over he ran for his life."

" oh thank you so much."

" anytime"

* beep*

Something was wrong for sure. You decided to wait for him till morning and If he still didn't show up, you would go to the police.

You ate and went to bed. But you couldn't sleep. All sorts of thoughts were lingering in your mind. For once you felt that he had got to know about your plans. You immediately sat up and called Mark. You were close to him and felt that he was the right person to tell. Your heart was beating like crazy.

" M-mark, I think Taehyung got to know! He hasn't been home since morning. He had gone for an interview at 8 but he still isn't home. I really don't know what to do right now."

" Okay wait, 1st calm down. You were careful right?"

" Of course I was. Do you think someone was keeping an eye on us."

" Okay look, it's not safe for you to stay there in case if he came to know. He can be bringing men with him. Or he must've fled. You have your guns right? In case you feel some threat, shoot. Don't hesitate to shoot. Even if its Taehyung himself. Okay? But 1st you need to calm down!"

" I'm calm but how did he get to know? What if this mission goes fail before it actually begin?"

" Okay, nothing like that is going to happen. Now don't talk loudly about it. Stay there and be alert. But don't make assumptions. "

" Alright bye."

You hung up immediately. You want to talk to anyone anymore. You got up and went to the closet where your suitcase was. The guns were hidden inside the suitcase under the cloth. You quickly removed them and loaded your guns. You kept one under your pillow and another one with you. You checked all the windows and doors and went and sat on the couch.

NEXT MORNING [4 o ' clock]

[TAEHYUNG'S POV]

I woke up due to some disturbing voices. I could see nurses rushing in and out bringing equipment. The doctors were giving my brother the heart shocks which are used to start the heartbeat again. As I got on my feet, a nurse dragged me out and closed the door as she went back in.

I couldn't understand what was going on. I wanted to scream and tell them that he was fine and that they needn't do anything more. But my body went completely numb. I wasn't able to talk, something stopped me.

I stopped the nurse who came out of the room and asked, " what's going on? Why is the doctor doing that? My brother is quite alright. You saw him yesterday."

" Yes, we did. But his heart rate decreased out of nowhere and now he is not responsive. We are giving him shocks in an attempt but we can't say anything for now." the nurse said and hurried away.

I fell down in shock. He seemed quite alright yesterday. what happened suddenly. I started sobbing uncontrollably. There was nothing I could do.

Suddenly, the voices from inside stopped and the doctor came out. I couldn't make out anything from his face.

" Mr.Kim I'm sorry, your brother is no more."
