Hi! I'm writing this mid June and I started this fic early April.
I decided to add this at the beginning because I just wanted to clarify that I promise it gets so much better after the first few chapters. I was excited to start writing this I sort of rushed the first part without paying attention to grammatical errors but I PROMISE you'll love it!!
A little bit of a longer summary:
Mera is a member of the resistance, one of the best fighter pilots they have. She has been best friends with Poe Dameron since they were kids, growing up in poverty in Kijimi created an unbreakable bond between them. After Rose and Finn's plan to help the Resistance escape from The First Order fails (in TLJ), Mera is left behind in an empty transport on Crait. She was helping Poe keep Holdo out of the main hangar, which resulted in Leia stunning both her and Dameron.
The Resistance leaves without her, abandoning her on a planet with no one but The First Order. When Kylo Ren finds her in the empty transport and tries to execute her, he discovers the power she has hidden.
He makes a deal. She trains with him for one month, if within that month anyone from The Resistance comes to rescue her- she is free to go. If they don't come, she remains his apprentice permanently. But the deal is made foggy when personal feelings and new enemies arise in The Finalizer.
