Chapter 3: Pepero or Nothing

I was sitting in the car...

On my way to school. It's a long car ride, so I always remind myself to bring something entertaining. This Tuesday morning, I was running late. Well, not really, I had snoozed my alarm and had slept in quite a bit. I was late in my parents eyes, but I knew it was nothing to worry about. As the car made a turn, I saw this girl, she seemed familiar, if it wasn't for her uniform I wouldn't have thought twice about her.

"So she goes to my school" I mumbled to myself.

"Pardon me, what was it young sir?" Said Mr Nam, my driver.

"Oh nothing" I said politely and smiled.

I got out of the car and made my way towards the entrance. I took some steps up towards the main doors when I heard:

"You are EVIL, Ahn Eun-Hana!"

I turned around and to my surprise, the same girl I had spotted walking on my car ride to school, was standing right there. A feeling overtook me, and instead of just moving on with what I was going to do, I stood there looking at her, until I went back to reality and made my way to my locker.

"Someone slept in" I heard someone say behind me as I approached my locker.

I turned my head and I saw Choi Beomgyu, one of my good friends.

"What is it obvious?" I said with a smirk.

"I was just kidding! You ACTUALLY slept in?" Beomgyu asked.

"Yeah, I guess there's a first time for anything" I said as I pulled out a small pepero box, which Beomgyu has been bugging me for ever since he treated me to a soda last week.

[Pepero is similar to Pocky]

"Hey Beomgyu! Hey Yeonjun! Have you guys seen Ms. Jeong's Class Test Results?" asked Choi Soobin, one of my other good friends, what a coincidence, the three friends just happen to have the same last name. (XD)

"No, I haven't" I said.

"Oh! Yeah! You tied with Hana, which is surprising considering the fact that she's a genius" Beomgyu said as he was halfway through munching down a pepero stick.

"Maybe next time, but you'd have to study like hell to beat her" Soobin said snickering and also while eating one of Beomgyu's peperos.

Hana...

Where have I heard that name before?

Then I heard someone laugh.

Beomgyu and Soobin faught for the last pepero as I turned my head to see who was laughing.

And there she was, again. The girl from before. She looked so happy, the more I thought about it I-

BBRRING!!!

The bell rang.

"Well, catch ya later smarty pants!" Beomgyu said as he walked away eating the last pepero he had beaten Soobin out of.

"See ya!" Soobin exclaimed as he walked away, going after Beomgyu and his pepero.

I chuckled at their childishness, and got my textbook out of my locker when I saw someone pass by me.

It was that girl's friend.

I only really recognized her from when they where laughing together.

And as I turned to see if that girl was there, she had disappeared and probably gone on to her class.

I got my permission slip out, closed my locker, and made my way to the counselor's office. As I turned the corner I bumped into someone who was running the opposite way as me.

We bumped heads and where on the ground. As I looked up I realized whom it was...

It was that girl!
